Bong House is a very nice hostel which suited my needs while in Seoul. The hostel is located near the Hyweha subway station (about 10 minute walk) and is close to many amenities (i.e., convenience stores, banks, restaurants) and is a quick subway ride to many of Seoul's great attractions. The staff were extremely friendly and willing to help me navigate the Seoul subway system. The hostel was clean, although cluttered with miscellaneous items laying about. Overall, it is a nice hostel.

Pretty much the perfect hostel to stay in whilst in Seoul (or whilst travelling around the nearby provinces) Its well located by a subway station. The staff are amazing, so pleasent and welcoming. My only issue is that as a non smoker, you have to walk through the lobby where people smoke to get into the building and it smelt quite a lot. BUT bear in mind, Korea has no non smoking laws so at least it wasn't allowed thorughout the whole hostel. Recommended!

Stayed just for a night but it was my second time there. Only wish I had more time to stay longer. Bong(the person) was great, and a splendid host. The service attitude of the staff was impeccable, always helpful and never intrusive. Excellent facilities with speedy wifi access and a charming bar to unwind in. Would definitely head back there again!

It was ok. The room I stayed in had no ondel flooring so it was quite cold. The bathroom had a leaky roof so you get dripped on when you're brushing your teeth. Mr Bong and his staff are great though! Really friendly!!!

Bong was a great host and made New Years in Seoul a fun time. Having the smoking section right when you walk in the front door was a turn off for our group of non-smokers but over all we had a comfortable evening and we able to relax and have fun

The hostel is located in Jongno, which is the district where most of the temples are located and it's very close to the other tourist spots. The staff were nice and kind. I really enjoyed talking with them and learning about Seoul. The common room was a great place to meet fellow travelers. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel.

The staff really make this place amazingly comfortable to stay at with their friendly attitude that extends far beyond the reception. Around the hostel, in the bar and even taking us out to a place to eat Mr Bongs house is a very easy going laid back place to stay at. The area aound Bong House is great with lots of restaurants, shops and easy access to public transport and taxis. We love everyone who was working there and hope we can come back =)

Really liked this hostel, it had everything we needed [except for a room over Christmas!!!! But they're already fully booked :( ] and was lovely and cosy. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful and Bong bar was a great place to hang out in the evening. Make sure you take the phone number in case you can't find it/use a taxi to arrive :)

have an open mind as the rooms themselves have no locks and it's like a big house with a couple of homely rooms and shared bathrooms. location is pretty good and the staff is great, thanks everyone! will be staying again!

This was my second stay and for sure they will be third, fourth and so on as well as spread it all over to the people who looking for guest house when travel to Seoul. Also, I would like to compliment the manager in Bong's guest house and he is Mr. Jay. He helped us with our heavy luggages all the way from subway station to guest house and also help on translation Some comments: hope to have mirror in the room as well as more power socket with adaptor especially rooms for 2 peoples and above.

I have stayed at Bong twice. Both times the people who worked there were very friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable (for me, at least). Overall, I cannot find anything to complain about and look forward to coming back the next time I am in Seoul.

Mr. Bong and Manager John were very helpful to us. Bong House has an awesome location. It's only a stone's throw away from convenience stores, food stalls, restaurants, bakeries, Hyehwa subway station, and major palaces namely Changgyeong-Goong, Changdeok-Goong, and Gyeongbok-Goong.
