The owner, Mr Bong is a warm and nice guy. He never fails to address our concerns and request. The place is cozy. Though small, but it has everything a hotel has: aircon, heater, wifi (some hotel dont even have it free) and a fridge! The location is good; walking distance to subway and quite happening cause is near the university. :)) A place where i would want to go back and stay again if i am in Korea. Well done, Bong House!

we had a great time staying at Bong House, mostly thanks to the wonderful Mr. Bong who showed us a nice restaurant, helped us with bookings and gave great advice. Nice area with bars (Bong Bar in the cellar next door), close to Dongdaemun market and subway. I will definitely stay here again when I come back! Thanks Mr. Bong!

After one night in a small room with shared bathroom, I changed to a much larger room with own bathroom directly over Bongs bar (so it was a little noisy). The room was not furnished at the beginning because it was a new part of the hostel. The surrounding area is really the best reason to choose this hostel. It's a student area and there are a lot of bars and restaurants (a really good night life). The staff and Mr Bong are really nice and helpful. He gave me the best tip: Watch baseball!

First night I stayed in a single room with shared bathroom. I've never slept in such a small room (more like a capsule hotel). The shared facility, let's say there is enough room for improvement. Mr Bong an the staff are very nice and helpful. The surrounding is very cool.

Interesting place. The main guest house is a bit dirty and has stains on the carpet. Kitchen isn\'t very appealing, and there\'s only one sofa in the sitting room. The guy who showed me in was completely disinterested and unhelpful. Rooms are in main house or in separate block on the main street above a seafood restaurant. These rooms are bigger but very noisy. Also internet doesn\'t work too wel in the rooms, so had to log on to a nearby cafe.

I have been going to Bong House for 4 years now and it remains my favorite hostel in Seoul. Mr. Bong is amazing and kind and helpful, the location is amazing as there's fantastic restaurants and cafe's nearby, it's close by some great sights in Seoul, and the hostel itself is lovely. Mr. Bong keeps expanding and making his rooms nicer and more comfy, and it's lovely to see how great it's becoming. Love it, will keep going back, highly recommend it!

Probably the best hostel I've stayed in so far. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bar next to it (operated by the same owner of the hostel) provides one with one free bottle of Korean beer for every night you stay in and free games of pool. I made plenty of friends at the hostel and bar. For the price you pay this is hard to beat.

Good overall hostel. Clean, safe, and quiet for a good night sleep. Nice touch to give a free beer at Bong Bar for people who are staying at the hostel. The bunk beds in our room seemed a bit wobbly and unstable, but they held up okay in the end.

This place makes me feel at home. If you ever go to Seoul for backpacking, Bong House will definitely be the best place for you to experience Korea and feel at home at home at the same time. Mr. Bong and his staff are very resourceful and they can help you with almost anything. Suitable for everyone. And for the Muslims, this is a very good place for you. They understand you! Very friendly as well and Mr. Bong has a cute little Bar next his guesthse at SungKyunKwan. Complete facilities.

Mr. Bong is a calm and casual man with a certain love for his customers, he make sure to treat everyone right and does not mind having a snack or 2 along with you. The Bong is simple, but such an amazing place. Lucy (the bartender) is a pro in dart and always has a lot of energy. smiling and happy as it can be. challenge her in dart and you might have to buy her a beer :) but thats all just fun. anyways, the entire staff there is calm, but secure and happy. Choose bong house!

Excellent location. Restaurant and convenience stores are just a stones throw away. The staffs were super friendly. I ended up meeting a lot of new friends from this hostel. This is by far the best place to stay in Seoul!

Bong House is a very nice hostel which suited my needs while in Seoul. The hostel is located near the Hyweha subway station (about 10 minute walk) and is close to many amenities (i.e., convenience stores, banks, restaurants) and is a quick subway ride to many of Seoul's great attractions. The staff were extremely friendly and willing to help me navigate the Seoul subway system. The hostel was clean, although cluttered with miscellaneous items laying about. Overall, it is a nice hostel.

Close to the subway station, in the middle of an area full of life, and ruled by a very friendly staff, the Bong House is the ideal place for backpackers. Too bad that the rating stops at 100% and not at 1000%!

Pretty much the perfect hostel to stay in whilst in Seoul (or whilst travelling around the nearby provinces) Its well located by a subway station. The staff are amazing, so pleasent and welcoming. My only issue is that as a non smoker, you have to walk through the lobby where people smoke to get into the building and it smelt quite a lot. BUT bear in mind, Korea has no non smoking laws so at least it wasn't allowed thorughout the whole hostel. Recommended!
