Bonsai Guesthouse was welcoming and cozy. It is a small and quiet place to stay, a little way away from the action of Osaka, but literally just around the corner from the nearest JR station, so it's quite convenient. The staff are amazing - warm and friendly and very helpful, especially Kim-san. The Bonsai garden on the roof is beautiful, and the kitchen/lounge area is very comfortable. My only complaint would be that the rooms feel very damp, but this seems like a trend in hostels I've been to.

This hostel is located very close to JR station, which is convenient, and even the noise from trains is not very loud. The room and the hostel itself is very compact, but it\'s normal for Japanese hostels, so no complaints. Laundry is only from 8am to 8 pm, which was not very pleasant, as we usually walked out earlier and came back later than the stated time, but it was our last city before going back, and we made most of laundry in Kyoto, so we managed with it. There is Lawson combini and Mandai supermar

The rooms had a bit of a funky smell, and the shower rooms were very small. But the building was generally very clean. The staff was nice and the location was good.

The rooms are very small, but other than that, everything is perfect. It's close to the JR loop line. Easy to get everywhere. The staff finds answers to every question... and is friendly. Liked my stay there.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hostel is located just around the corner from the train station. It is very clean and quiet. It would be good though if hand soap could be provided at each sink. Also, the room I had was a bit bright during the night because of a light from across the street. It would be good to have a curtain for the window.

my friends and i really loved it here. small but cozy with everything you need. and the best thing about it is the location. really near to the JR station ( and if you walk a bit, there is also subway stations nearby ). besides that, there are many cheap food outlets nearby (yoshinoya, nakau, station udon etc), grocery store, 100 yen shop, daiso... etc... the staff were very friendly and helpful too , will definitely stay here again if travelling to osaka

This was one of the smaller hostels I stayed at in Japan and enjoyed the atmosphere. The rules that they gave us upon check-in were managed well and made the stay more enjoyable. The location was close to the Osaka JR Loop Line which made it easy to get around. The staff was extremely friendly and helped look up locations for you as well. Being able to do your laundry on site was a perk and there was a local grocery store around the corner for those quick snacks!

the place is actually quite nice but the hairdryer has the time limit for usage. and also you don't really see people talk to each other so much.

The staff and living conditions were great. I felt welcomed and my friends really loved the people there. What might be the negative point is the location as it is situated in a largely residential area.
