We had a great time at Boomerang! Such a lovely area. We liked the terrace for breakfast. And the free breakfast was nice - typical breakfast in Turkey - bread, olives, tomato, cheese, egg, coffee. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Right behind the hostel is the St. John's Basilica and mosque and castle. There are storks nesting nearby and a pug nose cat named Durma. Lots of character. The downstairs dorm room is chilly but there are lots of blankets - the owner says heating is coming.

I went in the dead of off season; they basically opened the hostel for me. Great location, never been closer to the bus station in my life. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The dorm room in the basement was freezing, but again, it was the off-season. Good breakfast, good showers, comfy bed.

We really enjoyed our stay in Selcuk! Pros: The owner generously upgraded us to a room with a private bathroom when we arrived because it was the slow season. The hostel was very clean, and served the best breakfast we had in Turkey! The owner takes hospitality very seriously, and provided us with good recommendations for day trips as well as helpful information about the buses. Cons: hard beds; inconsistent hot water; heater took 24 hrs to warm room. Overall: Great value for the money!

The staff were helpful, nice to chat with and offered lots of tea. I like the top-floor common room: bright, open view of neighborhood, large TV, heater. The dorm room is large with mostly single beds. The rooms can be quite cold in mid-winter but extra blankets are provided.
