In an age of overpriced hospital-like hostels, its was very refreshing to find a real backpacker type hostel with amazing staff and interesting people. The cheap morning breakfast feels more like you are have a comfy lazy Sunday breakfast with friends, and the staff are very nice. I never felt unsafe from the room doors not being locked because the front door is always locked and there is a staff member there every night, there is also a locked storage room always accessible.

Even though the hostel was very cheap I still would expect locks in the doors and some quietness for night from other customers. It's a hostel, not a disco. In the night a couple of men were checking the rooms there even trying to get into the room where I was in. Suddenly they run away when they found out there was someone inside the room, propably trying to steal something, I don't know. From now on I will pay more for a hostel where I can feel safe.

The Bed was in very bad condition , too many springs had stuck out and were pricking on the back and sides. In the morning when i woke up had pain and marks on my back. Since me and my friend were in a 10 bed mixes dorm, we were woken up by the noise at 4.30 am by a group of guys who were noisy and i guess were drunk. Rest was good, you have to walk a little from Antwerp central Station.

They really need to improve cleanliness and there is no key to your room. Location is 30 minutes away from city centre by walking. During the night I got bitten by (I hope) mosquitoes. Would not recommend.

i had a good time in the hostel. the room where we stayed is was nice and clean. the bathroom and the restroom where clean aswel! they where allowed to smoke downstairs witch made it not very nice to sit down in the livingroom as a nonsmoker. but it is a cheap hostel and a perfect place to stay for a coulpe of nights. nothing to complain about!

Nice lobby, very 70's. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and cozy. I only stayed one night but i love it. Also they have luggage room, so you can leave your luggage after you check out.

The staff was very friendly and the location is not bad at all. However, anybody that is going to stay at this hostel should bring their own travel sheets with them! This Hostel is very dirty.

Staff is kind and helpfull and breakfast is also very good. But the location is very bad, It is far away from the city centre. It is also not clean . so its really not worth 17 euros (mixed dorm + sheet + breakfast)

The hostal seems to be kind of dirty, and the beds and linnen where also kind of old. There is no sign on the entrance that the place is a hostal, it's more like someone house with changes to become a kind of hostal. If you are really into cheap bed, then is ok.

Only enough hot water for 2 people in the first floor showers! Not cool when you go for a weekend in the middle of winter and the water is as cold as the temperature outside!

fun place. met new people that I am still in touch with two weeks later. few eateries in the area, but the antwerpen metro can get you most places fast. interesting decor, but a fun place to stay for a few nights.

It was about -5C outside and the room had no heating whatsoever; it was absolutely freezing, I had to sleep with my clothes on. Shower only had hot water during the day. No lockers to store valuables.

The blankets were very thin (for a cold night in March), the room didn't have any curtains and the shower was hardly warmed. The facilities were very clean, he staff helpfull and the location was nice though. If you don't expect a luxurious place but you just need a relatively cheap place to stay for a night, this is a fine hostel. I did enjoy my stay there :)
