While the owner is a seemingly nice man devoted to his hostel, is is very dirty from the kitchens to the rooms, the smoke in the common room is almost unbearable as well. Discovering what I believed to be evidence of bedbugs, I pointed this out to him stating I only wished to be refunded and leave. He lectured me on how his ethos of hosteling (~30mins), but I was unimpressed. He told me I would get a refund only if I promised a perfect review. I promised, but I cannot deceive fellow travelers. Very good showers and beds, all you can eat for breakfast. Location is quite good for the party-area in Antwerp but quite far from the city centre, (take a tram). If you are driving there is on-street parking opposite. Bad points include no key for the dorm door, the lighting in room 2:2 needs fixing and the window is also broken!Very good showers and beds, all you can eat for breakfast. Pros: Location. Open 24 hours (as staff sleeps at the living room)
Cons: It says 12 beds room and I found 22 beds. Smelly place. Smoking place at living room and not just cigarretes. No internet at all.
At least it possible to sleep.

i didn't like the living room: too dark and cigarette smoke everywhere. my matress saged in the middel. the kitchen was dirty.
but i enjoyed the company of the people who are staying there longer.
