Would be happy to go back to this back packers, more of a peaceful simple and easy backpackers. Staff are very quiet and you have to prod them a bit for info and chat but they are still happy to help and helped book my bus to sandakan. Not much of an atmosphere as the hostel doesn't really hold that many people. If quiet and clean is what you want (Especially after climbing Mount Kinabalu) than look no further. (I shared a a private A/C room with my partner.

The bathroom window was broken letting in every mozzie in KK, the bathroom door would not close due to the space of the room being so small the bed was in the way of the door. Only one dodgy plug socket in each room which the tv was plugged into making it difficult to charge appliances, the bed had cigarette ash over it from the last tenant and the blanket on the bed was unclean. Staff werent very good at speaking english and were not very helpful. The lights were also not working.
