The atmosphere is just great - we almost had a feeling like we were at the edge of some natural reservation - many animals (rabits, ducks and cats) live in the camp and they sometimes come right to you (expecting food, mostly). The cabins are a bit too close to each other, but it doesn't really matter. The only unpleasant thing is the airport that is very close to the camp and the noise is quite loud. The camp has enough vegetation to make you feel relaxed and easy. Only 30 minutes to Lisse.

We had a nice and pleasent stay here. The only problem was reaching the hostel by car. GPS did not find the address. We used an alternate address but got lost as one of the roads were under construction. Having more boards on the way would definetely help. -Shreyas, India

The place is really beautiful but really far from the center. Other problem is that even though the price seems low, it isn't, 'cause you have to pay separately of everything: toilet paper, shower, heating for the cabins etc. + the only shop nearby is the small reception shop with quite high prices. So for those who are looking for cheap accommodation I would recommend some hostel closer to the city, with a bit higher price, but with everything included. The internet connection doesn't work.

We stayed there for one night and quite liked the atmosphere. People visiting Amsterdam should stay at this place if they have Car and want cheap accommodation. Rooms were clean but no bed linen was provided. You have to pay extra for the bed linen. Its good to carry your own bed linen. Heating costs you additional 5 Euro. You also have to pay extra for toilet papers, shower. All in all, I found this value for money as the accommodation price is really cheap.

Blokhutten in mooie kleuren. Bij het bed opmaken viel de lattenbodem eruit. Werd zeer snel opgelost door vriendelijk personeel. Sanitair wordt goed schoongehouden.

It was better than I actually expected after reading the reviews. The place was really nice and clean and it was so easy and fast getting to Amsterdam by Metro. It is true that you have to pay extra for everything. But it is still much cheaper than going to any hostel in Amsterdam. They send by email all the information you need right after you book it, for example how to get there in any ways possible, It was very useful. I recommend it !!

If you have a car yourself, this will be a great place. It is totally very natural. The environment is great. However, for poor guys like me without a car, it is tooooo sad. You can either take the bus to the airport, which is 4 euro. (*** expensive Holland) and then take the train to the city center. Or you have to walk like 20 minutes to the metro station, which is 2.7 euro for one hour. The toilet is quite far and you have to pay 1 euro for a 6 minute shower!! Maybe it is common in Holland?

1When my group came to the camping, the staff demanded from us at least one ID/passport to be deposited till the day of departure. 2)When one of the family from my group wanted to leave the camping earlier, it was necessary to submit and deposit ID/passport from another person from the same group (from a person who wanted to stay one hour longer). The question is if this procedure applies to guests from Poland only or also from other countries too? Is it according to EU regulations?

Although this campsite was somewhat out of the way, I really loved the seclusion from the city life. This is a legit campsite, therefore you don't have to share your room with 20 other people. That was very awesome. We got the best of both worlds with the city life as well as the cozy camping atmosphere.

Good clean camp grounds, Great location if you're wanting an escape from the city. Not good for people wanting to see Amsterdam as it's 20 minute walk to train and 45 minute train ride. Staff were friendly. Did not like having to pay for a 6 minute shower. Hired a push bike and rode around the beautiful grounds. Good place for a short stay, would not like to stay here in winter, would make for a very cold walk to and from the toilet block. Toilets were kept clean, kitchen area also kept clean.

very good for camping, near to the airport, but far form the main city center. if one wishes to visit the places in Amsterdam, better to stay in the city center, this place is good for relaxation. lot of facilities are not included in the room rent and you have to pay separately to avail those facilities. the staff are friendly and helpful. the kitchen should have had a microwave.

It's very ok for a budget trip. And notice that from the camping site you can go to Keukenhof more quickly and cheaply than from the Central Station: bus 199 to Schiphol Airport instead of going back to Central Station and buying a more expensive ticket to the airport. Or you can take metro 51 near the camp, stop at station Zuid to take a train from there to Schiphol. From the airport, in all way we will need to take a shuttle bus to the flower garden.
