only one staff was there to provide necessary information where he was very busy most of the time and he couldn't able to spent time with us to provide all the information we needed. So suggest to have at least two staffs in reception during weekends. Also please provide water facilities in toilets/ huts.

Excellent place to stay near Amsterdam, all you need to take is a 30 minute tram ride and you'll find yourself at Centraal Station so you can leave your car at the camping and not have to worry about parking it at 6€ an hour in the centre somewhere. I will come back here!

The coin for shower is better to be sold outside the reception, since it is closed in the evening and opened not really early.

I like the atmosphere in this hostel. This hostel is kinda far from the central but if you caught right tram or bus to take, there is no problem. However, toilet and shower is in another building from our place to sleep, so I didn't like that we had to walk to there. Also, we couldn't use Wi-Fi in our room but we had to go to shared-kitchen or somewhere to use the Internet, so I thought it was kind of unconveinient . But overall, the price was cheap so I liked this place.

I was extreamly dissapointed with my 2 nights stay at this hostel. Firstly the information given about the location was very misleading, I only found the hostel after making a number of phone calls to a family member. After eventually arriving at the hostel I was greated by a member of staff who wasn't very helpful and very impolite. The impression that he didn't have your best interest in mind was apparent. You had to pay extra for showers and toilet paper. Very unimpressed

I've lived in Bostel Amssterdamse Bos because of its good price on 26.4.2013. But the heater is not good so that it's very cood in the night. It's a bad experience.

The atmosphere was really excellent. However going to the amsterdam center was a torture. Dont believe the information that say it takes 15 minutes to walk to metro station. It was at least 25 minutes and if you are carrying some things it is going to be torture for you. The man was also very unpoliymte and he cares only the money not the people. He did not care about the customer happiness but only your money. My advice is that dont stay there but go to the area one time to see nearbye.

I feel kitchen missed the room fresheners. Also the heating in the room was at additional cost - i felt this could have been included with the tariff.

The hostel is very good for people searching for a simple and clean place in a low price. The only problem is the localization, very far from the center. It`s needed to take a metro and the closest station is 15 minutes walking from the hostel. Except for that, the hostel is a good option and I certainly would return if I came back to Amsterdam.

The system of making the room available if we arrive too late is really really really convenient : ) I wouldn't hesitate on being hosted here again.

This was the second time i've stayed here, this time the weather was much colder but was great to have unlimited heating in the cabin. The people are lovely and it is a great setting, a good excuse to explore amsterdam further with metro day tickets. Thank you!

Everything are pretty good. Really hot showers, heaters beds. The price is the best thing!! Really cheap comparing with any hostel in Amsterdam, even though you pay 1 Euro shower, 5 euros a room heater, and train, it stills the cheapest one. The hostel is pretty awesome for people who don't care about staying out of the city. It take a little while (approx. 40 min from the central station). I reccommend that for people who want to save money and are in a group of friends!!!

a little far out from the city centre but we had a group of 8 and couldn't have asked for anything better! we were a little nervous with the negative reviews about the owner but when we went, apparently he was on holidays and the two ladies that we dealt with were extremely nice and very helpful. we thought we would end up paying a lot more seeing as you have to buy toilet paper and towels and sheets but it was reasonable, especially for students!
