One of the most friendly and helpful hostels ive been too. Felt like i was staying in someones house. Water was piping hot. Was very empty when i was there but think it is low season. The "long" walk into town takes five minutes.

Bothy Hostel is an excellent place to stay. It is not far from the town centre for easy access to restaurants/bars. If you fancy cooking for yourself it provides excellent kitchen facilities. Also a great place to relax as it has a living area with TV, DVDs and free internet access. The staff are the friendliest people you will meet who go out of their way to help as much as they can, and provide a home from home feel. They do the best pankace breakfasts and the beds really comfy. The best yet!

Great hostel! Feels like home. I would really recommend staying here. The staff made me feel really welcome. It's just a short walk up the hill from the center. There are great views of the city & the lake from the hammocks on the rooftop.

this place was really nice. the rooftop views of the lake are breathtaking. the breakfast is fantastic and they cook you delicious little pancakes. it is a trek from the plaza de armas, but it is worth it with the views. the staff is very friendly and always willing to help with anything.

Excellent stay. Close to town, very walkable, 8 minute walk directly into centre of Jr Lima. U can also take a cheap taxi ride (dont pay more than 3 soles from Parque Pino, or more than 5 soles from Bus Station.) . Very friendly stafff that could not do enough for us. Recommended.

It\'s an OK- hostel. You kind of get everything you need there- take short showers as the water turns hot and cold all the time. It\'s located on a hill that means walking down to the center is ok but up is disturbing so we always took a cab. They help you to book your tours there but ALWAYS negotiate, you\'ll get aprox. half of the price. \"Staff\" or owner was nice! It\'s very quite and you just get a cable for \"wi-fi\".

Though the location is not ideal, ie a taxi ride from the centre of town, howvere this is solved by the owner´s willingness to order taxis whenever needed.
