Great hostel - comfy beds, decent-sized dorms, very clean bathrooms and plenty of hot water!
Very sociable for meeting other travellers with good common areas - the roof terrace hammocks are a great place to recover from drinking game Jenga in the bar the night before! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful too, and the location is ideal just a few minutesī walk from the main square (as well as the main tourist sights, restaurants, bars etc..).Great hostel - comfy beds, decent-sized dorms, very clean bathrooms and plenty of hot water!

I did not like this hostel. The kitchen and the bathroom are terrible and dirty. The hot showers are not so hot if you go there in winter. It has a central location, but there are many other options with best localization and for similar prices.I did not like this hostel. The kitchen and the bathroom are terrible and dirty. Great place to base yourself in Arequipa. The building is old but itīs perfectly clean and tidy. Itīs a sociable place and you get to know everyone in the hostel especially in the evenings in the bar....make sure you play Giant Jenga. They make it into a drinking game here.
Very close to the Plaza and San Francisco (the street to go out on) and helful, friendly staff who just want to have fun with you.Great place to base yourself in Arequipa. Boaty hostel has the best staff of any hostel iv stayed in so far and we had a couple of great nights out with them. Hostel is pretty good, dorms are ok and clean enough but its the bathrooms that really let this place down big time. The bathrooms are the worst iv come across in three months in South America, there dirty, smelly, old, grubby... really bad and i think toilet water is leaking out onto the floor in one...! And theres not always hot water when you get into the showerBoaty hostel has the best staff of any hostel iv stayed in so far and we had a couple of great nights out with them. The staff at Bothy were very helpful in answering our questions and suggestiong things to do around Arequipa. Their relationship with tour agencies was also very helpful for arranging treks into Colca Canyon. They also arrange fun activities every day for hostel residents. Friendly warning: think very carefully about your fitness for Colca Canyon - the two day trip is HARD!The staff at Bothy were very helpful in answering our questions and suggestiong things to do around Arequipa.
