Bothy Hostel Reviews

I had a good time at Bothy but that was because of other guests. The Bothy restaurant is a real waste of money if you order eggs for breakfast you get one egg on a plate with nothing else at all for 5 soles. The kitchen they have for guest use is so dirty you wouldn`t want to use it anyway. The water is hot and the staff are really great and helpful, just need to improve a few things!

Staff were friendly, and put on a great Christmas dinner. The beds were reasonably comfy, and the internet was good. Showers were warm enough. On the downside there was a misunderstanding regarding our booking, which when changed lost us our deposit, despite most of the hostel being empty, which was a bit upsetting. Further, we did our laundry through the hostel and it was returned with multiple items splattered with green acrylic paint. It may be advisable to wash elesewhere.

A really nice place and they do everything well and have all the facilities you need, highly recommended. Staff are great, especially Raul in the bar. Lockers in the rooms are great. My only suggestion is that they give everyone their own key to their room.

Staff are nice, but overall a bit average - room was incredibly noisy, cars hooting most of the night, and from 5am there was just a constant noise of car horns. Wristbands they make you wear are really daft, and the signs all over the hostel telling you what is 'not tolerated' are a bit off-putting. Careful to get a receipt when you pay, they over-charged us and we had no proof so they didn't refund the money (it was only 20 sols, but annoying...). In spite of all that, it's a nice place.

Nice hostel. Not much atmosphere due to lack of people but had organised activities each day so they did try. Nice courtyard and balcony overlooking city. Breakfast consisted of Bread (good), jam, butter, tea and coffee. Sausage was like a really dud frankfurt. Hot water is intermittent and pillows were average- . Would stay their again but would take my own pillow.

Their bar is in tribute to William Wallace.

we really loved the hostel. the staff was very helpfull and one even spoke a little dutch! the shower was good but our room was at a busy street. they had a trustworty service: get your self a drink or a snack and write it down on the list and we put it on your bill... same with the loundry! good service and very friendly staff!

Hola Amigos de Bothy, Thanks for everything, i had a good time in bothy, special is the long breakfast to 12:00, the nice rooftop with the kitchen and the your small restaurant/diner with local and international food. I enjoyed the party in in your scotish-bar and the "barhopping" after..... Thanks, see u Marco Divino ;-)
