i really enjoyed my stay in the hostel , the staff is super friendly specially Alex , the bar on the first floor , the kitchen with the extra menu ,the free wifi , movie room and the terrace on the top floor are great , perfect view of the volcanos misti, chachani, i took the trekking to the colca canyon 2d/1n for a cheaper price thanks to alex ,i enjoyed the rafting with you too.

The Location is perfect. It's in the heart Arequipa , the area it's safe and you will have lots of restaurants near by. Just infront of the hostel! The bothy is very nice and the athmosphere is good. There is good social areas for gathering.. I stayed in a 4 beds private bath dorm, it was good enough for me. Good beds. It only cost me 9 USD so it's good value. The staff was nice. Bothy Arequipa is close to the mall, heaps of bars and restaurants. Bothy is well located, something like 0,5km far from the main square. But if you really like silence you'll be mad with the car horn sounds in the street during the night. The staff is distant and cold, and there are lots of bossy signs telling you what to do or not to do, which is boring. A big problem is that they don't have hot water. Me and my gf had to complain every single day for them to turn on the electricity for us to take a bath (they prbl use solar enegy and it doesn't heat enough)

I had a good time at Bothy but that was because of other guests. The Bothy restaurant is a real waste of money if you order eggs for breakfast you get one egg on a plate with nothing else at all for 5 soles. The kitchen they have for guest use is so dirty you wouldn`t want to use it anyway. The water is hot and the staff are really great and helpful, just need to improve a few things!

Staff were friendly, and put on a great Christmas dinner. The beds were reasonably comfy, and the internet was good. Showers were warm enough. On the downside there was a misunderstanding regarding our booking, which when changed lost us our deposit, despite most of the hostel being empty, which was a bit upsetting. Further, we did our laundry through the hostel and it was returned with multiple items splattered with green acrylic paint. It may be advisable to wash elesewhere.
