First place of stay on our RTW trip that we didn't like. The staff seemed to want to overcharge whenever they could, while we weren't told beforehand that a room with AC would be a much higher rate than the one quoted on here. There was a lack of any atmosphere and the tour for the ankor temples was poorly planned out.
We stayed at Bou Savy for 4 nights in total and found it a great base for exploring Siem Reap. The room was very comfortable and clean, the staff were helpful and organised various things for us (tuk tuk for the temples, a trip to the circus, bus rides, laundry etc). The location was good, not far to all of the main sights. We were a little unlucky as there was what turned out to be a funeral going on next door for 3 of the days we were there - very noisy! But I can't blame that on the hotel.
Lovely guesthouse slightly outside of town - 20min walk to centre. Very friendly and helpful staff that can help you book tours and onward travel. Breakfast is one dish and drink from a good selection. Booked our tuk tuk driver and onward bus to Phnom Penh through here as good prices. Lovely big room with ensuite, great shower, fridge and a/c. Great wifi in the restaurant, but couldn't always get it in our room.
Great hostel in a great location. The rooms were nicely decorated and always clean,. Just away from the main street so quiet at night time. Really helpful, attentive staff! Great value for money!
Itz perfect to stay bousavy g.h.near star mart n city centre.the staff was very kindly and helpful for traveling.
Bou Savy Guesthouse was perfect for us - but more of a B+B/Hotel than a small guesthouse. The location was fine, we could walk within 15 mins to the main area, bar street and night bazaar but others may want to catch a tuk tuk. Great location for the Angkor Wat complex! The rooms and bathrooms were clean and the staff were willing to help with anything they could! Bicycles were available to rent but we wanted mountain bikes so rented them from the travel agent at the end of the road.
Its a pretty good place to stay

Stayed for 6 nights. Staff and other guests (volunteers) made my stay memorable. A place to really meet other fellow travelers. Weak WIFI in room (302 on top floor). Better connection in communal area. Supermarket down from guesthouse. 15mins walk to Pub Street. Be ware they use solar to heat water tanks, so can't guarantee hot shower every time. Recommend their fried rice. Always wear insect repellent, esp in communal areas.
