The hostel is located a walks distance of the tourist part of Edinburgh. The staff was really helpful and nice, the beds are superb. The only thing is the lockers, they are quite small so my bag didnt fit.

Kitchen was dirty and dishes were all over the place. It was tiny for so many people! And not enough room on the table! Bathroom was not cleaned and absolutly dirty. Beds were shaky and the sheets were not clean either.

The staffs are good, but cleanliness is poor, everything was dirty when I arrived at the hostel and this way remained, bathrooms, kitchen and I missed a space, because the kitchen is tiny and combined for table with 4 chairs and 1 sofa beside, So, always be in your bedroom! dirty bathrooms and no toilet paper at all times, also dirty and messy kitchen. Area feel abandoned and no light in the shared bathroom, that has hole in the roof, Not recommend!

The hostel is in a excellent location. The bus to the airport stops right outside. But the room wasn't cleaned, I found biscuits and used tissues in the lock. One shower and toilet per floor and there wasn't toilet paper on first day. Apart from that, at least the staff was helpful.

Room 5 bulkbeds are really crappy. They are very noisy and not very stable, if one persone moves, the whole bulkbed trembles like flubber, making it hard to have a nice sleep night. You have the constant feeling that the bulkbed will break at any ti The room wasn't very clean, lots of hairs in the floor and no signs of recent vacuum cleanning... We spent 3 nights there and I saw no signs of room cleaning in those days. Perhaps they can invest in better bulkbeds and more cleaning in the rooms.

It was my first time ever in a hostel! The hostel was not very far from where the bus dropped us! Plus it's centraly located,It's adjoining to the famous princes street!I had booked the 6 sharing room, with a great view!tiny rooms but Good enough for 2 nights,We met the craziest and fun people including the staff! Took us around ..the kitchen is where we partied..though the roof couldn't be used anymore ! Well I loved it ..will definately go there again ! :)

there's no common room where to meet other people there's just a small kitchen with a table. not good if you wanna meet and know new people

Hostel has amazing location. Close walk from train station and everything else. There is one toilet and one shower per floor unless you in an ensuite room. Cheap hostel to stay at. Time to check out is from 8-11am. I went to check out at 9am but no one around so had to leave door key outside office door. Hostel fairly clean. Lockers in room. Its a bit dated but being its only 10 quid a night cant really complain. Only there to sleep anyways.

It is a well located hostel, right in the center of edinburgh, all destinations are within 15 minutes of walk distance. Surprisingly a lot of longterm guests, they gather in the kitchen and give the hostel a homely feeling, although at times the kitchen feels crowded, as there is no other social space for sitting and meeting. They are really helpful in terms of where to go, what to see. The staff is also nice and welcoming, but seldom could we find them at the reception when we needed something.

Many thanks for your feedback! We are in the process of getting more seating space in our common room, and also providing a quieter chill out space. Check us out the next time you are around! :)

All the staff was drunk when I arrived. Anybody seems to clean the house. Everything was really smelly and water was not always working. I would not recommend this place to other people!

We are simply devastated to hear your level of disappointment. Since there is only one person working at a time, we find it hard to believe all our staff would be drunk on duty. Our water always works. In the UK, It is quite impossible for the water supply to stop. Daily cleaning is provided. We do take your concerns seriously and would be extremely grateful if you email us back with more info. Many thanks for your feedback, Boutique

Pretty terrible hostel the beds weren't made properly the wooden blanks beneath the mattress gave way and the mattress fell through the bed. Not much room for cooking or eating. Kitchen is very small no more then one person can really cook at one time. Good location.

Super-friendly & helpful staff. Ensuite 4-bed room is smallish, but very comfortable & clean. No breakfast included-- however, plenty of stores (Tesco, Morrisons, etc.) & restaurants less than 5-10" walk away. Kitchen/commons area small but fairly equipped (no microwave; oven works great). Short & convenient ride to/from airport; easily walkable to Waverly Station/City Centre buses/trams. WiFi can be spotty, but is better early morning/late night. Laid-back atmosphere. Would stay again.

Good for the price. Very small rooms, kitchen and social area. Great location.
