Its not a true hostel. Its full of middle aged Americans who are out of luck & drink beer all day. Its not the only hostel like this in America but its misleading if you're a backpacker & its not fair you could end up with someone who is using the place as cheap rent. I was in a room with a nice guy but he told me the guy before me was a 60 something alcoholic so glad I missed him! Certainly wont be going back there if Im ever in Ft Laud again
I felt very uncomfortable at this hotel. Half of the guests live there permanently and it makes for a very strange group of people. I must have arrived at a very bad time for the place because there were several very serious issues which involved the police having to escort guests off the premises at least twice during my stay, and i'm being nice about this. I think this hotel would benefit from allowing a maximum stay of two weeks for guests.
My friend rented a place for me for the weekend since I was going to Fort Lauderdale and I can say I had a great time I meet new friends and I will def come back and visit Jorge and Tommy

I was placed in a room with a very mature woman. Aged approximately 60? She smoked and drank. It was alike I was staying in her room and not a guest in this hostel. I'm wondering if they were short on rooms or if they were trying to maximise income. It seems like she lives there. The general look of the place was shabby and run down too. The staff were nice enough but it's an odd place Fort Lauderdale
