the location and the atmosphere of the hostel and the other backpackers were really good! the staff was friendly and helped us with our trips! we cannot understand the negative comments and the complaining about the cleanliness - the bathrooms are okay

Cool place. Staff was nice. There's a big kitchen and shared bathrooms (if you choose a suite without an en suite). The room was also quite big and the bed comfy. Internet worked well.. I recommend it

It is very clean, safe and it has everything one needs while staying there and even more: fully equipped kitchen, internet access, towels, balcony, free tea and coffee. The stuff are extremely kind, friendly, helpful and most of all relaxed

Staff were brilliant, very friendly and helpfull atmosphere: i did enjoy the diversity of the guest, age, background

This faculity houses drunks, addicts and mostly homeless people and yet they still call it a youth hostel. This is not a place for holiday guests. There are holes in the floor covered by duct tape and the entire place wreaks of urine and dirty men.. Not quite sure how this "hostel" is even allowed to legally operate with all the chaos that ensues on a daily basis. It is by the sea however it is definitely not in Brighton.. Its in Hove which is the town over.

The service was so bad wen checking in no hello and a lot of attitude, I almost cancelled my booking of a week and then the manager told me to take it day by day and see how it goes, on the second day the cleaning staff stole my iPhone and laptop charger cables leaving me in the dark with a dead phone, the place is full of local scum that doesn't really make a traveler feel safe, no lockers what so ever, and by far the worst execrable I've ever had traveling, the place is a realy dumb!!

We booked the ensuite double room not much in advance so wasn't bargain of the century but was still a lot cheaper than all nearby hotels. Mattress was kind of knackered but apart from that an awesome, friendly, safe lil place with good facilities and location :)

Very noisy on the corridor at night. Some goest have no consideration. Behaving like idiots, especially when walking the stairs. Very cold - central heating on just for a few hours at night.

This hostel does not exist. Once you book you will be contacted by SoBo Hostel. The place is in Hove, 30 mins walk from Brighton. No lockers in the room, very tiny showers and toilette, common areas dirty and dark, breakfast facilities badly organized. Do not trust the pictures.

The beds were very rickety and mattresses uncomfortable, the room was cold. There were many people hanging around outside smoking dope. People came and went who the person on the desk had no idea whether they were guests or not. This place is not value for money at all. I had two 13 year olds with me and felt very uncomfortable for the entirety of my stay. I do not recommend this hostel.

Hello, I stayed here over a weekend. Great location. Close to the beach that is approximately 1hr walk from the Pier (which is good if you want to enjoy more space). I chose this hostel because I saw the pictures of the private rooms. However, it was not the same. For the price of GBP169, it should be more than a dirty, dark room with a cracking floor and broken radiator, dirty floor in the bathroom and dust on the upper shelves. Staff is very friendly. Security is an issue - door codes.
