Pool was lovely. Bathroom in the room was pretty dirty and the bed was rock hard but it was only a short walk to south land. Not a very social hostel either.

Atmosphere is relaxed, staff were friendly. There is a free pick-up to and from transit centre every hour. Close to Southbank. En-suite bathrooms were not cleaned 2 days in a row, no lockers in dorms.

Room was really dirty and smelled horrible.

The BBR needs a bit look after to improve services.

There was plenty to do withing the hostel which is always great if the weathers a bit gloomy. Having a fridge in your own room is very convenient !! You get your own ensuite and balcony which you wont get in a lot off hostels. There isnt a proper common room so it will take a time to get to know others in the hostel apart from your roommates. The courtesy bus was ideal as it meant we saved like 15-20 mins walking to the main streets of brisbane. The pool table should be cheaper.

3 of us stayed at the hostel for 5 nights, I can't think of one thing to complain about from the whole stay! All the staff were very friendly and fun! If I was ever to return to brisbane then I would definitely return to brisbane backpackers hostel.

Great location in West End, easy walking distance to South Bank and they also provide the shuttle into the city. Hostel completely lacked atmosphere though, everyone already seemed to know each other so it wasn't the easiest place to meet new people. Would be good if the hostel organised group activities each day. Reception staff were really helpful, especially with all my daily requests for buses and directions. Fixed the shower the day after I reported it, which was a pretty good response.

I came in in the middle of the night, and went straight to my booked female dorm room. I couldn't get to sleep because there was somebody snoring very loudly, which I thought was odd for a female dorm, but ok. Turned out that the only other girl in the room had hooked up with a snoring guy, who also woke up and turned on the lights at 3am. Also, the mattress was very thin. All in all, I didn't get any sleep even though I was exhausted.

This Hostel needs to decide what rates it is charging. There were 3 of us in the same room. One paying $19, one paying $22, and one paying $30. How can that be?

We stayed here for 4 nights during that time the bathroom has not been cleaned really once. Rest was alright.

You basically have to pay for everything - internet, pool table... For a backpacker with such prices, some facilities should be included !

the hostel is very nice with pool, bar, nice area but not in the city centre, btw they provide a free bus leaving every hour!the rooms have nice bathroom and fridge, nice kitchen in the basement and nice staff!it is actually much cheaper if u book online, but anyway it worths the money! recommending it!!
