Brisbane Backpackers Resort Reviews

Brisbane Backpackers Resourt is a great place to stay, everyone there is very friendly, both staff and guests. The facilities are excellent, the shuttle bus they run to the city is great and the hostel is within walking distance of the city, about a 20min walk. Our room wasnt the cleanist but that was more to do with the other 6people staying in the room. Would recommend this hostel!

The outdoor area was very nice, lot better then a lot of hostels. But the room was very messy, noisy and not very clean.

What is very nice about this hostel is that they have their own bar and swimmming pool and small sort of cinema in the basement. 6 person dorm where I staid in was a bit small and it would be nice to have a few more toilets/showers. Overall it is a good hostel to stay in and it is close to many bars and restaurants.

I booked in for a short stay, but ended up staying there for 4 or 5 weeks. There were a great bunch of people there, the staff were really friendly and helpful and the free shuttle run into the city was a MASSIVE bonus. BBR has every thing you need, I spent many days lounging by the pool, playing some footy-tennis in the basketball court and relaxing at the bar with a nice cold drink! I would definitely go back!

We shared a room with 6 other people that were loud until 2am. They seemed oblivious to the fact that other people where in the room. The location isn't near the center of town, although the hostel did have hourly free shuttle service to downtown. Cleanliness was at best average.

This hostel is a lot of fun and the staff are amazing,... so helpful and so friendly. The rooms are nice and spacious and they all have a balcony I would definitely stay here again!!

Great location near plenty of bars, cafes and shops and not too far from the cbd. The staff were generally friendly and the rooms/bathrooms pretty clean. No lockers in the rooms but never had anything taken personally. No alcohol allowed in the rooms but the bar downstairs party compensates for that.

The Brisbane Backpackers is one of these big hostels where you are just another number. The Receptions is chronically understaffed, which is probably also the reason for the slight unfriendliness by the staff. Our room was horrible, just a smal window in a 8 person dorm and the door didn't lock.

I had a very nice stay in this hostel in a 6 bed dorm. The location is good, the staff was very friendly, the rooms are ok and they have a well equipped (but as in many other hostels rather crowded) kitchen. At night it was a bit noisy. The shuttle service works well if you want to go from the hostel into the city but if you want to go from the city (bus stop) to the hostel, you have to give them a call (I didn't know this before).
