no bar attatched so didnt really get to meet anyone else from the hostel, only a short walk to brunswick street tho which had lots of bars/restaurants...

Brisbane Manor Hotel is a classic Queenslander house built around the end of the 1800's that has been converted into a up market backpackers. Take a look around the walls of the hotel and you'll find a whole heap of history to our place. We're in the heart of 'Brisvegas', but quiet enough to feel like you're still in the country. If you're driving we have secure off street parking and easy access to the motorways.
Our dorms are not what you expect. We are proud of our dorm rooms and think they are some of the best rooms in our hotel.
The loft dorm is everyone's favourite. It has 8 beds, its own lounge area with TV, free tea and coffee and a fridge to keep your food or beers in. Deluxe Dorms have ensuites and our regular dorms share loads of powerful hot showers around the hotel that you may use.
As well as dorms we also have doubles and twin rooms. These rooms are spotless and also have their own TV, free tea and coffee and a fridge to keep your food and beers in. You can choose from air conditioned rooms with their own ensuite bathroom or rooms with ceiling fans and shared facilities.
Other facilities we provide include a fully equipped kitchen, lounge and BBQ for when you feel like cooking for yourself. And to make sure you can get all the needed ingredients there is a supermarket nearby.
All our rooms are no smoking but you are welcome to smoke outside. On our tropical decks
