We only stayed 1 night in the Britannia because we needed to catch a flight the next day. Value for money is really poor as we booked a double room for about 60$ per night and it was a very small room with two beds inside and that's about it...not a single shelf or cupboard. Eventhough there was not much in this room to clean, staff couldn't manage to clean the 1cm thick dust from the lamp. Stayed in much better rooms for less money. 1-2 nights are alright but we can't imagine to stay longterm.

Not sure if I would stay here again. Lots of long term stays and not many travellers just passing thru like myself. Room really needed redecorating, there was a massive crack in the wall with loose rubble exposed, dirty air conditioning vent with dust and made random noises if the wind blew in a certain decoration. Bathrooms nice, clean and modern but not all the showers were in the best working order. Cannot fault location amazing spot in Northbridge which is the only reason I would stay again

The attendant at reception was not pleasant with my group nor the other groups he interacted with while I was present. This hostel does not take card payments for charges under $100. The ATM was not working inside the hostel. I was forced to walk a few blocks at 11:00 PM after a 5 hour flight to find a working ATM because I was not carrying $80 dollars for the bill. It should be posted if cards are not taken. Dirty area of Perth. You can party there but it would be with hookers and dickheads

Management are very thoughtful towards homeless persons Or those who stay And may find themselves homeless Or poteneially may find themselves on the St. The kitchen should be open plan, making a more open and friendly environment It is definitely value for money I would stay again,so close to city, great early walk to city is wonderful, and you see how people really live in \'BOOM TOWN\" PERTH

Bathrooms and kitchen nice and clean. Always able to cook in the kitchen, don't have to wait about for a hob. Freezer and oven is a good touch for long stays. Note this hostel seems to have more long stays from what I found. I was in a 4 bed dorm which was like a box. No window, very small and no room for luggage. Good to have a locker in the room though. Not sure what the other rooms are like. laundry facilities not great for big hostel. Got my food bag stolen from the locker room. Bad end.

I got a twin private room, the room was small & very very dirty although the kitchen & common area is kept very clean. The atmosphere is okay, the auntie (manager) is very helpful with job searching & other tourist information. Overall, this hostel has many nice people, and friendly as well. But it definitely not the best experience that I have!

Very clean hostel and staff very friendly and helpful. I stayed in a single room, which was small but comfortable and I felt my belongings were very secure. The facilities were always clean and I never had to wait for a shower or anything else. I think this is the best hostel I've stayed in so far in Australia. Would definitely recommend this hostel.

Bathrooms were excellent quality and really clean, however the bedrooms were not. Don't think the room was ever hoovered nor the sheets cleaned. I was in a room that didn't have a lock however some Of the others did. Great atmosphere, right in the middle of the nightlife. Overall a good hostel

The Britannia is a little on the shabby side but I liked it - everything was pretty clean. I hear some rooms don't have windows but go with the girls 3bed dorm and it's got a great window and street view!

The kitchen is well equipped, with enough utensils, plates and fridge space for everyone to use. The bathrooms are immaculate, and there are numerous showers and toilets. The bedroom we stayed in (private double) consisted of two single beds, a chest of drawers, a broken fan, and a mirror, and was quite small. There is a weekly rate available with a discounted price, but not if you book online (we were charged $455 instead of $400 - and staff said the $50deposit went to Hostelworld - not true!).
