Nothing to add - the backpackers in Perth are all expensive and in my eyes not worth the money. I think Britannia is under these conditions just average.

I spent only one night in the hostel but the street noise kept me awake all night. Single rooms are bare and only have a fan making closing the indow to reduce noise impossible. Staff was really helpfull and the place was clean

The kitchen and bathroom facilities where adequate, but my one major letdown was the bedroom. The bedroom had no windows and bad ventilation which meant the room smelled. Also having no natural light in a bedroom in my opinion is never a good thing and after a while you get a distinct feeling of cabin fever, although luckily it was for only one night. Also I beleve this is a safety issue in the case of fire.In my country this is against health and safety regulations.

Close to the CBD. I don't know if there were more bathrooms on other floors but on our floor (first) there were only 3 toilets for the women and there was always one which were out of order. Kitchen nice but too small and hot and not enough crockery. Main problem with the bedroom was that above the door there was a panel with large holes cut out, don't know why this had been done, but that meant that you couldn't get it dark in the bedroom, light was always shining through.

I would rather sleep on the streets of perth then go back to this sh*t hole again.. The room I had was a private twin room. I Could not open the Door when my bag was on the Floor the room was that small. The air conditioning was a broken fan in the corner and some holes they drilled in the wall above the door. When I asked to Change my room the receptionist said they had no other rooms available even though I only saw about 20 people in the hostel. Dirty, Showers cold, no windows etc

A large hostel with friendly staff and a well equipped kitchen. Rooms could do with some air con! Very hot at night! Great outdoor court yard for socialising. Overall a pleasant stay.

Hostel without airconditioner. 40 degrees outside means 50 degrees or more in the hostel itself. None could sleep because of the heat.

No air conditioner in the room but ventilator, up to 30 degrees Celsius and more in the room in summer (january). No closet in room, only one chair to lay clothes on. I was in a single room. Washing room clean and big enough. Internet not too expensive.

The carpet in the single room I stayed in was disgustingly dirty! Didnt dare to put one feet on the ground w/o shoes on!! Apparently not vacuumed in ages!! 2 hours timer for the fan is not really helpful when its hot at night. Bathroom and toilettes were however comparably clean, thanks for that.

For the solo traveller it is not the best hostel to meet other travellers as it is so large.

I've stayed on dozens of hostels, but come on guys. Perth. The sunniest capital in Australia. That's the good news. The bad news is that the hostel DOESN'T have air condition. Plus the rooms were very small. I was so glad to leave it. I will give this hostel such a bad review on Tripadvisor.

Our room did not have a fan so it was extremely hot at night. It is in a vibrant part of the city, but it is hard to sleep with the window open because it can be loud at night. Great staff though.
