The hostel itself is in a good location and has a nice sea view restaurant. However, the room itself is awful. It was stinky (someone was obviously smoking a lot in that room), very small with an open shower room just next to the bed. The view from the window was a wall and other windows. So there was no fresh air that stinky smell. And finally, the toilet was outside the room. We paid the most for this hotel and it was completely not worth it.

The British Hotel is in the centre of valetta both for shopping and the bus terminal. The staff are very approachable and friendly. the breakfast is excellent and there are plenty brochures to review for various trips in the island of Malta and the other two Islands.

The hotel has a great location and so nice and helpfully stuff!

Great value! !!

Small room, poorly ventilated and with sunlight streaming in from early morning. Nice communal/dining area for looking out to sea, though.

thanks for your comment , yes the room is a small bufget room hence the cheaper price however has the essentials and a shower en suite . I find it a contradicting since you remarked the sunlight coming in from early morning means there is a window which can be opened and therfore will be better ventilated. Thanks for you comments

The room was small and old looking. I excpected something better. The views from the restaurant are amazing. The staff at the reception very kind and helpfull

the single rooms are small budget rooms and for a few more euros one can get a larger twin for single use ..but the price for the single is cheap due to the room being small although you have the basics and an en suite shower /toilet. It depends on what one needs and wants to pay. Thanks forr you other comments

The staff at this place are absolutely fantastic and make for a rather enjoyable stay.

Very small room with no view. However there are 3 terraces with lots seating and the views are quite wonderful of The Grand Harbour and the ship traffic. The wifi is available on the lower terraces and indoors. The breakfast was basic but lots of it. A great budget hotel, it was a pleasure to stay there.

I would like to thank you for submitting your views . The single bufget rooms are small with en suite bathroom. We do however have twins for single use that are much larger and have amenties like TV + cable and A/C. LIke you said the views are wonderful and I am glad you enjoyed your stay regards David Montebello Manager

The British Hotel is okay although a bit dark and dingy. The best thing about it is the location.Great sea views from some of the rooms and the restaurant. The brekfast is minimal and the restaurant menu is nothing great, nor is the cleanliness of the restaurant. Sometimes there is noone in attendance at the front desk and all the room keys are there as well as the keys to the room safes, so I see this as a problem. I stayed 2 nights but all the beds in the hotel are small twin beds so I moved.

I have to clear some things. The breakfast a full continental buffet breakfast which is complimentary , . WE have an a la carte and specailse in local traditional maltese food with quite a few choices. With regards to reception , there is always someone a the desk 24/7 and if by chance the receptionist/night porter is not there we have a bell. If you take a room safe ,you keep the safe key with you , the safe keys in reception means the room safe is not being used . Safe keys are also locked
