Brodies Hostels Reviews

We visited Brodies one year ago and it was OK back then. Now, although the room was very nice (double private) - big and clean (Although very cold! The heating was like it was not working) - the rest was much worse as it turned out only 1 of 4 showers worked OK plus very loud, drunk UK people were having a party until midnight or so. The staff was not very much interested in what was going on. PLUS: No FREE WIFI which is a huge minus. Nowadays it's a MUST! Come on, 5 pounds for WIFI? SHAME!

The only thing this Hostel has going for it is its location. Apart from that it is shocking!! The staff, while trying to help, are not well trained and there service is very poor have to pay for Wifi which is a joke, no breakfast, and security even more poor as they let in a man who had just got into a fight and drunk into our room.... we requested to be moved which was allowed but security could have been better... go to castle rock

You should look for another one

The hostel is well located and staff is very nice. Otherwise, rooms are generaly dirty. Cleaning is not always done. The night, rooms are noisy because of the street, the old windows and the neighbour's rooms. If you want to sleep, i don't recommand you this hostel.

The room was cold and there were only 4 toilets and showers for everybody. The floors and doors were noisy and our room was next to the kitchen (also very noisy). Nevertheless, the location was excellent and the price for a private room was reasonable.

The walls are not really thick which makes it quite noisy. Anyway its very centred and therefore good value
