The walls are not really thick which makes it quite noisy. Anyway its very centred and therefore good value

Great location on the royal mile. Laundry service which was nice. Thin Walls but big kitchen

We took a double private in Brodies 2. The location is perfect for exploring the old town and going out. The bed was very comfy, the room warm and spacious. The shower/ bathrooms weren't exactly enough for the number of people but they were clean. All in all I would recommend it and would stay there again.

Dorms can become pretty cramped en stifling because there isn't enough space and proper ventilation, well equiped kitchen, very frieldly and efficient staff, descent common lounge, excellent location in the old town. You pay extra for internet: 1 £ for 20 min. and 5 £ for wifi, 24 hours, small lockers for rent: 1 £ per day + deposit. Overall a descent place to stay but take earplugs as it can become noisy during the night.

We spent three days in the hostel and it was great. Staff could not be more friendly, toilets and kitchen were clean and people respect the common areas. I would stay again.

Il existe deux Brodies Hostel sur Hight street a Edinburgh, et perso, je ne suis pas tombée sur la bonne! Sur le site Hostelword.com, la note était bonne les commentaires étaient bons donc je m'étais dis "banco"! quelle ne fut pas ma surprise en arrivant sur les lieux! Ce n'était pas du tout commesur les photos, c'était sale, et bruyant. Je viens de passer une semaine en irlande et une semaine en écosse, tout en AJ avec deux amies, et celle la était la pire!

Unfortunately the hostel is situated above a pub and a take away,so you can smell the used oli .I had to leave the window open all day. : (

The staff were kind and helpful, I was originally put in a dorm with a group of 5 guys, however the staff offered to move me, so i would have a better experience. There are no lockers, and in order to open the windows/blinds you need to climb onto someone elses bed. But other than that, i would deffinately recomend it.
