Brook Lane Hostel Regensburg Reviews

I enjoyed my stay here as it is ideally located and I was only one of 2 people in a 10 person dorm. I would HIGHLY recommend that the hostel invest in lockers for their customers though. Otherwise, it was very good.

This is the hostel that made us decide to only stay in private rooms in the future!! Noisy Americans coming back to the room at 4am (not the hostels fault, but rather unpleasant!). Location was great, staff were helpful but the facilities themselves were terrible. We stayed here for two nights, the ladies showers were both horrible - only had cold water and would stay on for only five seconds at a time. Male toilets broke after the first day. Lots of noise came in through the window at night.

Beds in room 4 are old and my mattress was a shame. Below the sheet they put plastic bags around the mattress, (maybe to shelter it from peeing or vomiting youngsters). Anyway it makes a strange sound and I never found this in other hostels. Two lockers for 7 people in the room. Checkin restricted to opening times of the shop nearby, as there is no real reception. Lacking a real hostel atmosphere. Location is good, but I wouldn't recommend it for more than a night to crash in.

very nice and uncomplicated stuff. they even brought my heavy bag to the first floor. don't know how they made that but it has made my day!
