The place is not interesting from outside, but the internal condition is comfortable and suitable for anyone who has no transport but really want to experience the Kuching city centre.

Really loved brookes terrace, All the staf were really friendly and helpfull, we stayed here with our 2 year old baby girl and got a really warm welcome home feeling here. The location is really good only five minutes from the waterfront. What more can I say, I really recommend this place to everybody

Nice hostel, decor, room and facilites all good. But, our room was facing the main road so kept awake all night with cars racing round what seemed like a race circuit.

Overall the room was clean. However, every night there would be cockroaches roaming about. Over the 3 nights I stayed there, 4 cockroaches were killed. The cockroaches were likely to originate from the sewerage system. If not for the cockroaches, Brookes Terrance is quite a decent place to stay.

Liked the ambience and decor, the "home away from home" concept; beds were very comfortable, even the third person in the room had a proper bed; the lack of a lift and having to climb steps, would make it not suitable for the elderly; the room we stayed in was not very clean - when we first entered, there was a layer of dust on the shelves under the LCD TV and on the dresser, and the bathroom needed cleaning as well. Would suggest that a room be vacuumed before guests are assigned to it.

Great waterfront location. Room types can differ greatly depending on type booked. Bathrooms of standard rooms can be improved greatly. Excellent staff who went out of way to assist on a few instances. Overall fairly value-for-money for a cosy homely place.
