The staff is very helpful, polite, and easy going, and the hostel is on a great location. The place is not fancy or particularly well equipped, but I thought it was great.

Great hostel in a great location. Staff very helpful. Even ordered takeout for us regularly and gave good tips around the city. Rooms very spacious. Only disclaimer is that they do push their tours. We went on a short one to Luxor and aswan which was reasonably priced and quite good but got ripped off at the pyramids for both our camel ride and papyrus which we only realised in hindsight as we organised it through the hostel who we assumed would get us a good deal. Overall I would recommend

Very helpful and friendly staff, that'll help you with everything you might need. Ideal location in the middle of Cairo, 5 minutes from the Egyptian museum. Bring earplugs, because down town Cairo is loud!

Perfect place in the heart of the city for a reasonable amount of money. Actually everything we rate very high, except for one thing: Mohammend, hostel owner, lied about safety in Cairo. He said that tourists visiting the city should be very careful and it'd the best for them not to leave the hostel at all and go for the trips and services offered by him. The truth is, Cairo is very safe and one can really sightsee on his own. But the spot is really perfect.

The Brothers Hostel is one of the best hostels I have stayed in. The staff were extremely friendly and went that extra mile to help me out when I had difficulties with my laptop. I was given advice on where to go not only in Cairo but on the rest of my travels around Egypt. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I even had the pleasure of spending a morning/afternoon with Ahmed, who showed me around Cairo to give me an insight into the city. I look forward to staying again

It was a very nice stay. Our plane was very late because air company had problems, but the driver was waiting for us all the time and still was sooo friendly. When we arrived at the hostel we found a very good accommodation with the most comfortable beds in a hostel i ever slept in. Mohammed helped us a lot even after our trip by giving us the right contacts for our trip to dahab (saved us a lot of money). Definitely worth the visit

Eventual water shortage makes here a minus. Otherwise, would highly recommend this friendly hostel.

Brothers hostel was absolutely incredible!! Rooms are clean spacious and everything you would expect. they booked our whole trip around egypt from aswan, luxor and now in dahab! They give the best deals and prices and include you in everything. The best part about this hostel is the people though. They are so friendly and so much fun!! Sherif is the coolest guy ever! Brothers hostel made our trip.

This is a nice place to stay, good location, clean, spacious rooms. What i did not like is what i heard accidentally from the tall guy working there i was there 4 days and there was no water for 2.5, plus is very noisy.

The hostel is a good place with excellent staff, so helpful and kind. Even if the place is a bit plain it has all the necessary for a pleasant stay including very clean bedsheets and blankets. In addition the share bathrooms are also pretty clean.

5 minutes from the Tahir Square; its a clean and central hostel. Rooms are big and spacious; looks more like an hotel rather than a normal hostel. Breakfast was good and staff friendly and helpful. Internet connection was very good.

Very clean hostel with excellent, trustworthy, reliable and helpful staff. The rooms with toilets have a kind of toilet alcove in them with an open room so not fantastic privacy wise in the room but still better than nothing. Will definitely stay again. Highly recommended.

Brother Hostel is the best thing that happened to me in Egypt. As a single female traveler I literally had every step of the trip taken care of. The tours were very well-organized, great value for money. The staff are really cool. Mohamed Sherif Midu and all the other staff have been very kind and helpful. I strongly recommend this hostel to the travelers who are plannin to visit Egypt.

Different from what's described in the international news, it's quite safe to travel in Egypt now. I've been to 13 countries and most of the time lived in hostels. Brother hostel is a top hostel I ever stayed in. Their hospitality and friendliness far exceeds customers' expectation for hostels and even some 3 star or 4 star hotels. I want to thank Mohamed for his help and Sherif for the time he spent chatting and hanging out together with me. The rest of the team are also very nice and helpful!
