There was a break in the night I stayed there. The hostel is very unsafe.

We thought that the staff were very rude, they had to be prompted to show us to our room which was neither comfortable nor clean. The bedding had a malaria tablet under the duvet, so obviously had not been changed. The bed was extremely uncomfortable as was so hard and squeaky. Having spent over 3 weeks in SA all in hostels, this was by far the worst yet and to top it off when we checked out the man on reception literally took the key from us and walked away without thank you or goodbye.   Read Owner Comments

Might not be the liveliest hostel I\'ve ever stayed in, but it is just a perfect place to discover Joburg. Helpful and flexible staff and overall good services, with a useful free pick up service. Cosy dorms, single, double and triple rooms. However, the internet is often not working.

Fairly good hostel generally, but Jo'berg is not the place to visit. Impossible to get around except by expensive taxi. Very little to see or do in any case apart from shopping centres.

Pesimo hostal, el staff no es amable y no te facilitan tu estadia.Solo te puedes mover por taxi.Pagas la seguridad del hostal. Awful Hostal, staff are not kind and hey are not easy your stay. You only can move by taxi (over ZAR50 every trip one way). You only pay for security, no more than this.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. Pickup from the airport was greatly appreciated. Dinner was hearty and very filling.

The staff were rude and demeaning. I would not stay there again and will pass along my comments to fellow travelers to assure that they don't, either.   Read Owner Comments

The room we stayed in had no heater and it was basically outside - no insulation. If you are staying here in the winter, bring warm clothes.
