The ground floor bar is very convenient and has a good selection of drinks. No issues with noise at night. Rooms are a bit small, but are comfortable and clean. Located about a 5 minute walk from the city centre.

Good location also for people with a car. Rooms offer comfy beds and huge lockers underneath the bunks. Good kitchen and common space unfortunately they both are closed during night. So people might end up partying in your room or next door! In general a nice place to spend a couple of nights

Loved it! Cosy bar downstairs with live music. The location of the hostel is great! Only minus for some is maybe the noise from the street or the bar downstairs.

Hostel was really loud, but that's typical considering it was above a bar. Wifi was terrible!

The hostel is in a great location, with a 5-8 minute walk to the city center. It was nice having a bar attached to the hostel, so we could head right to bed when we were tired. I would definitely stay here again!

Room very small, hardly room to turn around never mind luggage, and one bathroom for six people. Super kitchen facilities and lots of plug ins in lounge.

I loved that the hostel is right above the bar. It's fun at night and easy to get drinks if you don't feel like going out. The room was really small but the showers were hot and they had good pressure. The kitchen/lounge area was decent. They had a TV but I didn't feel like I could lounge around in the room. The storage luggage area is above tables in the bar area. The staff is really nice and you get discounts on certain drinks and also you get a discount at the Jameson Distillery near Cork.

Directions to the hostel were great - just a short walk from the bus station. Rooms were very clean however wifi did not reach to the second floor so that was a let down. The bar was the perfect authentic Irish pub to start the night off with a few pints. The only complaint I have is that baggage storage is above the bar and two girls balencing on a pub stool lifting 9 bags is not a very safe sight after a big night out Cork-style.

This was a fun place to stay in . There was a bar downstairs with lots of different taps and live music. The people were all friendly and easy to talk to. The rooms were good, could have had more outlets for people to use. The 4 bed room I stayed had one outlet which wásn't enough. Shower and bath were clean and beds comfortable.

Wasn't a big fan of this hostel... had to leave valuables with staff to lock up downstairs rather than having lockers in your room. No overhead light in my room made it difficult when you came in if others were sleeping. Bar downstairs was convenient and location was close to bus and train stations, but I probably wouldn't come back here.

Dorm room was cramped not a big problem on it's own but made 10 times worse by having the radiators on full blast every night. Couldn't sleep properly even next to the window with it wide open. Bar downstairs is also open to the public, got threatened by some local drunk the night I arrived, to be fair the security did deal with the problem. Was told on the final night by security to avoid pubs north of the river (Bru bar is "north of the river") Good points were the live music and the pizza

The staff are all excellent and they run the hostel like a real business - as opposed to many hostels which employ 17 year old dope smoking travelers who are only working there as they've spent all their parents allowances so far. It's great having small rooms with en-suite facilities which seemed to be cleaned daily. The only things it lacks was much of a hostel atmosphere as the bar is open to the public. The entertainment every night is awesome - Sunday's Bubba Shakespeare was unbelievable.

The location was good but the rooms were really small. Bunks really close together and only one locker under each bunk instead of 2 which was tough. Also the bar only serves pizza as food option, nothing else.

Yeah, you need lockers. Under the bed cages are not helpful and provide a false sense of security.
