Unfriendly people at the reception. made a big deal about changing beds even though 2 beds were free in the room. Entrance through the bar which is small and narrow. when bar is crowded, not easy to walk in with luggage. No elevator. Had to climb 4 flights of steps with luggage. luggage storage is a small closet. Shower works by pushing a button and water comes out for 10 seconds.with no possibility of regulating water temperature. Must keep pushing button or showering with one hand..

Good location and friendly staff. The trays under the beds can't have a padlock attached which I would suggest fixing.

Location was great, the shower was hot & the bed was comfortable. The guys in my room were all living there, so not overly keen to be social. The kitchen was okay, though the knives were blunt & there was no communal oil. Bar downstairs wasn't bad, but otherwise the atmosphere was pretty dead.

I thinks the place is extremely simple, even too simple and doesn't give a nice and homely feeling at all. It gives you all the basic necessities, but nothing more. I can't quite say what it was, but the place gave me a creepy feeling and I really had to go out to the city to escape that feeling and get some air.

Great kitchen - very well equipped! Place was nice, in a good central location. In general seemed to have a much older crowd (people in 30s).

Our 3-bed room was really small but it was clean. Unfortunately there was no wifi in the room available but everything else was fine. So we had a pleasant stay at Bru`s and I would stay there again.

The place and staff are nice. Lockers don't lock but you can lock valuables downstairs

It was okay. Clean and good location.

I liked staying at your Hostel very much. I was able to get a good nights sleep there and the atmosphere is very nice.

Perfect location in the Cork city centre above a lively bar that is visited by both backpackers and local regulars. Live music every night (always something different) and an enthusiastic team of staff members. Definitely one of my favourite hostels in Ireland.

Mick, Michelle and Loulou; thank you for keeping me hydrated! I had a good weekend here.

The staff was nice and helpful and the price included breakfast, there were a lot of things to choose from. What I did not like is that there was only wifi in the public areas that were sometimes too crowded to plug in your laptop or whatever. To compensate this the hostel was very clean and the room was also nice, neat and tidy.

Great location and good atmosphere with the bar downstairs! Can be noisy at night so may be difficult to get a good nights sleep at times but otherwise a great hostel with friendly staff.

Good selection of beers in the bar. Our room 102 was noisy, every night live music just under our beds... Also lot of noise from the street. Room and shower were clean but radiator was super dusty. Lots of different notifications hanging on the walls all over the hostel, and thats why not so nice atmosphere. At breakfast nobody washed their dishes, someone from staff should supervise it now and then. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Good hostel, clean rooms , nice staff. The kitchen is catastrophical. Very dirty and dark. The WiFi is not available in the upper rooms.

Great location, lovely staff and great fun but the rooms were very cramped and stuffy and it could do with having a few more showers.

Perfect accommodation for a single night stay:)

Pretty close to the train and bus stations. Nice to have a bar on ground floor. There is live music every night. Kitchen, bathrooms and common area are fine - everything you need.

I found it really bad that the kitchen and eating area was also the lounge. Everyone would be in there to charge their phones or computers and then there would be no place to eat. Also it was really loud. The bar and band downstairs were nice but the sound carried through the hostel and other guests were really loud, it got almost impossible to read at night. Great location and very clean though! I'd probably stay there again.

Very laid back atmosphere, helpful staff and a good kitchen! The bar downstairs is fun and there is always something going on, so it's nice to have afew upstairs and then head down! would recommend
