BRUNSKO is a nice place, very quiet and a long walk from the centre or the port.

The hostel wasnt easy to find, we had hired a taxi driver to bring us there but he had trouble finding it too and had to call the hostel for directions. But the hostel owner Nina was very nice, she arranged to fetch us from the roadside. The hostel was also on a hill and a long 45min walk from the old town but the scenery along the way was breathtaking. It was jus tiring walking back up at the end of the day.

DO NOT BOOK A HOSTEL IN DUBROVNIK! ESPECIALLY NOT THIS ONE! You can book flats for less than half the price of any hostel... We had to climb an infinite amount of steep steps to get to this place which is far away from city attractions. We booked this place 1 and a half months in advance but Nina had double booked us and she seemed angry that we refused to pay her there and then because we wanted to see her auntie and uncles place first. Luckily her auntie and uncle are a lot more hospitable!

First I am so sorry if you felt offended but I said that aunts room is better and that you will get a private bathroom instead of a shared bathroom that you booked in my house.Right at the beggining I apologized to you and I think that this is not the reason that you write on this site that people should not come in my house. If you are not well informed you can read on my hostel site that I wrote if this exception of overbooking happens that I will certainly find a room in my neighbour house.

It is a nice place with a nice view. Everything was clean and well kept. It is a little far from the Old town though, and there are buses which take you to the old town that are supposed to come every 15 minutes but come every 30 min. and cost 2 euro one way, so I would recommend to stay in the Old Town. Apart from that, the staff was very nice, and everything was great.

Stayed in our own double room with ensuite, so was more like a hotel for us! This is a family-run hostel, and Nina, Pero and their family were lovely and very helpful. 25 min walk to Old Town, or much quicker on local, efficient bus service. Supermarkets and bakeries are very close - useful for breakfast - and La Luna pizzeria is nearby for pizza/beer. Free wifi was a godsend. Nice garden for having breakfast/lunch etc. Hostel is up a steep hill, but this is good for burning off pizza/beer etc!

Nice, well-kept place only a 20 minute walk from the old town. The lady working there helped us organise an excursion on a few hours notice. The only thing to note is that breakfast is not included in the price, so don't take a free breakfast into account when calculating the price.

Good hostel not too far from the old town and the bus station / port. Bit of a hill to climb (depending on where you get off the bus!), but not that bad. On arrival got a rundown of the hostel and the city etc while given a glass of apple juice, a nice touch I thought. When we stayed it was 40 degree heat, however our room was nice and cool so we were never uncomfortable. When getting buses it costs 15 on the bus & 12 from the ticket kiosk in the old town, advice would be to bulk buy from kiosk.

The house is up in the mountain and if you go with your baggage it is a bit complicated. It is 25 min walk from the center but comunicared with local buses and they came and pick us up from the bus station. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

Nice place to stay, nice rooms and terrace area to sit out on. It is quite a trek up hill from the port and a further to the old town, but its possible to get the bus, which runs regularly.

There wasn't air conditioner, just a ventilator and during summer it was a bit tough. The place was clean but it's a bit far from the city center (45 min walking , of course you can also take the bus but it means, waiting in the sun). The family was very polite but they made us pay to bring us back to the main bus station that was a 8 min car drive the same amount as we would have paid the bus. Other families we went to didn't act the same...

The hostel is quite far from the bus station. You cant walk it if you have luggages because its uphill. Definitely recommand that you take the free pick they offer you. The rooms are very clean and i was pleased with our private bathroom. THe only downside is the location that is far from the old town and beaches but its the trade for a fair price. We didnt want to pay double the price to be in the old town so ill say that the value for the money is there.

The hostel is nice and the whole family runs the hostel with a lot of devotion. The welcome is warm, you are picked up from the bus station, given a welcome cup of juice, a map and told what's Dubrovnik about. The really bad thing about the hostel is location- the bus to the center runs once in 30 minutes. Probably there are more rooms for rent in the center for a similar price.. Plus, the hostel is located on a steep hill and the locals are not always to help you with the address..

Nice clean hostel, but bit of a walk from centre but by bus not bad.

Was over booked so stayed in the house next door. Very helpful and nice staff, felt like a good place to stay since we took the ferry in the morning (quite close to the harbour).

It was cheap and for that it was excellent! They even fetched us from the bus station when we arrived.

The hostel is on the slope of the mountain but there are several shops nearby and a pizzeria. We enjoyed our stay the only this was that we arranged a host to drop us at the bus station the last day and she didn't mention they're charging 6€ for this until it was too late to take a bus or just walk.

When we arrived they had double booked us so we had to stay next door whitch was a pain in the ass because it just meant we had to pack up our stuff the next morning and go back. The staff were very nice but hard to find them if you needed to ask for something, the loation was very farway from the old town and a pretty big walk to the bus. We were a little bit worried that the room keys opened every door because if you wanted to lock the bathroom door you used your room key.

The location is far away just a 25 minutes to walking distance, to the nearest bus is the most 3 minutes a walk.A room key and the bathroom key is the same,it means every room has a own key and a own bathroom.

We stayed two night is this hostel. It is not very close to the city center if you decide to walk (~40 minutes), but the city seamed safe. We didn't knew that they could get us from the bus station free so we walked to this place. Not very nice, because it is on the hill and it was very hot outside! If we would return to Dubrovnik, we would look for another hostel!

Very good stay, it was very nice from the owner to come and pick us up at the main bus station for free. Nothing much to complain about, clean, nice appartments et staff welcoming. The only negative point would be the fact that our room was just near the patio, where the other guests were quite loudly at night, but it wasn't the staff's fault.
