One of the best hostels I've stayed in. Wonderful location right on the river with a very friendly and helpful staff. Made my short stay in Budapest memorable.
OK hostel. Clean, safe and well-located if you come for events not related to city center. Friendly staff. I had bad luck with guests, who mostly didn't respond to "Hi!". Narrow lockers.
The location is quite good, but it depends on what you're after, I don't mind walking so for me it worked well. The beds and pillows are quite old but it's a budget hostel so it was ok.
Verg nice place. Some corners need fresh Look, but in general very satisfied.
The building is old with very high ceilings. It has an option for car parking which we needed. Rooms are well equipped - with water and table. We stayed in a 4 room apartment with 3 single beds/room. It also had a toilet, kitchen and bathroom with another toilet. They have nice bear posters that explain house rules and other cool stuff. Location was Ok, not far from public transport. Not sure if air condition is available - maybe in some other apartment. We'd miss it if we had hot weather. :)
Overall, our stay at Budget Hostel was comfortable enough. The layouts of the apartments are a bit strange and awkward since you share the common rooms with only a couple other people, and that can feel rather strange. The location isn't too great but it is an easy walk to transit. The one big complaint is the heat. We were there during a heat wave and since they weren't equipped for 40 degree heat it made it quite uncomfortable. It was very clean though and the staff we dealt with were great!
Nice clean hostel, location is a bit out of the way but is still walking distance into the centre. Rooms were more like apartments with extra beds thrown in.
