When the hostel is full, they will suggest you a flat they rent. The flat is very close to the hostel and the rooms are very nice, with 2 bathrooms and a big kitchen. Unfortunately we had a very bad experience there. It turned out that we were sharing this flat with CRAZY guys . We were 4 girls and had no way of leaving/calling anyone. They should be more careful when choosing who's going there knowing there is no reception in case it turns bad...

The hostel itself is a perfect place if you plan to sightsee Budapest. The staff were helpful, even though we arrived late (2 AM), which was an important factor. All in all, I'd recommend this place.

The staff is really nice, but the location is a little bit far away. However, it is really a nice hostel of this cheap price.

Stayed for three nights and can't complain. You get what you pay for and the price is more than right. If you intend to stay active during the day and just need a place to sleep, BBH is for you. It is also quite close to the Palace Of Arts which was my main reason for staying here (went to a concert).

First, a disclaimer: we were staying down the road from the hostel proper in a separate apartment. The kitchen facilities (which are a big part of why we choose to stay in hostels - cause we're cheap) were practically non-existent. This was a disappointment. Also, the shower in the budget apartment we stayed in flooded the whole bathroom every time we used it. Apart from these glaring faults, the place was clean, reasonably spacious, and secure.

The hostel is really quiet and comfortable. Nice for people who are not into partying. But in the beginning our room smelled like somebody has smoked in our room quiet a long time. I wouldn't have given the room in that condition to anybody. The Stuff was helpful, yet not very friendly. It was more like a buisness deal for them. Somebody who needs a nice clean, cheap hostel with central location can book this hostel, but offers nothing more.

Good Hostel! A little out of the way, but you can take the tram or walk about 20-30 minutes to the main sights. The rooms were very comfortable, the staff were very nice and helpful! They also had a great outdoor terrace where, if the weathers good, you can sit and relax in the sun. Definitely worth the price!

It's situated on the edge of the city center (still on the City map) in one of the big old houses that are typical for Budapest. It offers everything a backpacker could wish: Free internet, a kitchen for preparing meals, 24h acess with a RFID-Chip, staff that explains everything to you. Besides this there was not so much of an atmosphere or fellowship with other travellers but this might be the Problem of travling in February when few people are traveling.

A relatively clean, warm, quiet place that is out of the way. It's just the basics here. Not a bad place but not an outstanging one either. Staff was friendly but unhelpful/uninformative and info on the hostel website is incorrect, for example; they only accept cash as a form of payment, they do not provide airport transfers, and breakfast is not offered. However, some positive aspects include; internet access, facilities to cook your own food, and currency exchange w/o fees at front desk.

Owner Comment (Show)
Dear Theresa!Thank you for your comment! We are really sorry that you were disappointed..Our staff is always friendly and helpful and we never had complaints about being unhelpful/uninformative so I think it isn't only our fault. Sometimes the guest are also a bit impatient, however it's true, that we have a brand new staff member and obviously it takes a while for him to get to be comfortable with everything. About our services: please double check before booking, because we DO NOT offer airport transfer and breakfast in our profile and you we never accepted card either as you can read on hostelworld!

Staff were excellent. Zsuzska you are awesome. Location was ok, easy to catch the trams into town. Room was nice and big and the showers had great pressure. although kitchen wasnt inviting. Price was a steal for what we paid and the atmosphere was ok. Will deff be visiting again. Felt like family.
