Well, I suppose the basic facility is fulfilled, and the bathroom is decently clean. But yes, very basic it is. And unfortunately, there is a problem with the connection for free wifi at level 3 Block B Kingston Street. For the 3 nights I was there, I had to hang out at the stuffy corridor of level 2 and the other option is to walk to another block where the main office is for internet. By the way, the main office was shown to me by another kind backpacker who happened to return to level 2 room.

The hostel was clean enough and my bed was, personally, very comfortable. The staff was awkward, though. A couple times a woman just walked into my dorm and stood there for a few minutes, then left. Once, one of the housekeepers slept in my dorm. That's just kind of weird. The bathroom SERIOUSLY needs to be updated.

The two ladies working at the time didn't speak English, but they were fairly nice. Howeber, the owner who was working at his other location across the street spoke English and was very helpful. The building is in poor shape but the room was nice.

Getting access to the hostel was a little bit difficult for me as I did not have a working phone and needed to get the access code to get in. I called from a public phone and all was fine after I made contact. The room was freshly cleaned with towels, etc. As I was only staying one night, the ambience of the room was not an issue but if I was staying longer, it would be good to have a more populated common area to meet with other traveller. Overall, I was very happy with the room.

Hostel was good (for me), however it seems all the hostels at 47 Patterson Street are also owned by the same guy. There were people in my room who'd booked to stay at hostels across the street from this one and they'd all paid different amounts and then been moved to this room. I seemed to be paying the least out of everyone so for me it was OK...but just be warned!!!!

The staff is really nice, the position excellent and the room really worth the price. I don't think you can find a lot of places like this one in Hong Kong, expecially if on the island. I would definetly recommend it, I was there for work and even for that was just perfect. Thanks!

The directions from the airport could have been better. They told me to catch the bus when it would have been a lot easier to take the train since there was a station right around the corner.

Great location, near subway and 24/7 open supermarket. It is advertised under many different names but is actually the only hostel on the Causeway area. Rooms are very small with very small beds. The pictures do not match at all with reality. they seem to be from somewhere else. There was no heating but we did have AC (did not tried it). Bathroom door was made of glass (you could see through it). There were three computers in the common areas, and you also have a small kitchen (no cutlery)

The Hostel should improve staff's English skill.

It was a little hard to find this place the first time because there is no sign outside. The adress is written on the block, so it's not impossible. The biggest problem with this place is that it did not look anything like the pictures on hostelworld. The rooms are small, but not too small. Very basic and grey. I'm only 174cm and the bed was too short for me. No towels. Bathroom smelled funny. And loud talking from staff outside your door until midnight. Not good value. Location is good tho

Overall, this hostel was very good. It offered a clean, affordable place to stay in an excellent location. The staff was good, if not a little confused, as their English was not the best. The manager more than made up for this, though. He was incredibly helpful. The only real complaint that I can think of is that even though this website says they offer towels and a laundry service, they offer no such thing. Their towels were $20HK each and we had to go elsewhere to do our laundry.

they send me to hong kong hostel. It wasn´t the hostel where i maid the reservation and it was more expensive. In general, the service was really ugly, cause they didn´t ask me if i want to go there.

I really like this hotel. Even pleople uses as motel, I didn´t have any trouble (listen sounds or wtv... The stuff was good, except for one chiness, that she dosent speak english and she´s mean with me, but the other girl is super nice. The rooms are clean and beautiful, maybe small if you want to stay longer, but they are nice. They give you water to drink (hot/cold) and the hot water to take a shower is working properly. Internet also in my room has the better signal. Bad: little bit expensiv

Directions to Hostel were not correct, leading me to the second satellite location across the street. Only after waiting outside was I greeted by someone who led me to the main office. One night security asked me where I going, it does seem like he knew there was a hostel that existed on the second floor of the satellite location.

Locating the hostel was very difficult because there is no main entrance or any kind of signboard "Budget Hostel", the same inside the building. The room they gave us was not that what we expected concerning to the pics in the inet. Very very small and WITHOUT a window, just the little bathroom had one. After complaining we got another room, in another building, but not better. We had to complain again to get an adequate room, again in another building. Confusing hostel!

II stayed in a female dorm ensuited. The room and the bathroom were clean, and when I was leaving I saw the lady take off the sheets immediately, so that seemed right. The location is perfect, right next to MTR station, and they have big lockers inside the rooms. The only thing that bothered me was that the whole staff had a poor English, so it was hard to communicate sometimes, and the wifi in the common area didn't worked very well.
