I'd have to say Budget Hostel is probably the most interesting hostel I've stayed at, since it was a school converted to a hostel. The beds were mattresses on the floor in the school rooms, and the showers were for the gym. The security was the school lockers. Otherwise, it was a decent hostel with a fantastic location just a couple minutes away from Prague Castle. For the price of the night, it was definitely worth it, especially since it was right next to a metro station for my 8 AM train.

I am positively allergic to false advertising by hostels, making browsing for accommodations on website et. al. often times a unnecessarily time-consuming, painstaking and disappointing experience. Had this hostel been up front about not having working wifi, or had the advice 'hang out the 2nd floor windows and steal the neighbours wifi' even been remotely unsuccessful, it would have been fine. But don't check the m@#$÷%g 'wifi' box on all hostel booking sites if it is not accurate.

You get what you pay for. This is a school being rented out in the holidays. Location is just off Charles Bridge which is good. Kitchen is good enough and the showers were warm for a little while. There's no communal area which makes the atmosphere bad. Only wanted to sleep in the hostel, didn't want to spend anytime around it. Also wifi didn't work and it was blamed on a storm - which happened after the wifi didn't work?

Even though it does not excel at most categories, the hostel takes the crown for location and price. For the money you get to sleep on a mattress in a high school classroom, but that does not mean it is not comfortable. There is access to most basic facilities, but WIFI. All in one, the price and location make up for the rather average conditions.

You don t find more that u expect. There are mattresses in the classroom. At the entrancy u schould show the bracelet, because all the doors are open, but unfortunately none checked them. At the end nothing happened but maybe for lucky not for controll.

You're staying in a school classroom in the middle of Prague. You're here for the location, not the facilities.

A school turned into hostel, u literally sleep in classroom and use students' lockers, no wifi, it is cheap though.

Nice place, but the wifi doesn't work at all. Stayed there for 5 days and it totally was worth the money 😊

:( Location unbeatable, transport close and 2min to Charles Bridge. Facilities poor. Mattresses fine, bad curtains so rooms fully lit early and venue next door playing terrible loud music till at least 3am. Kitchen well equipped but accessed through a bedroom, I feel sorry for people sleeping there. For women, 3 showers and one mirror in entire hostel, total 6 toilets I think. Didn't meet much staff, one lovely one rude. No socialising whatsoever, atmosphere was cold and depressing! WORST WIFI!

They do not have their own wifi. Only one side of the hostel has signals (not good strength) of a nearby open wifi hotspot. Paying by card attracts 2.5% fee which they haven't mentioned anywhere on the page. Receptionist was new and didn't know much but was helpful. Even if they had free bed, they will allow check in at 2 PM. 2 means 2, not 1:59 PM.

Fantastic hostel. Would recommend.

The building is actually a school, so the 20 bed dorm was actually a gym hall with 20 mattresses on the floor. Toilets were clean, but they smelled like chloride. You could charge your phone in certain places in the gym hall and there was no reading lights etc. Wifi only worked in one place in the building. Location was good, just a walk from everything you want to visit in Prague. Staff was super nice and helpful.

Good backpacker hostel, extremely helpful staff, Bern is expensive though :s

Overpriced for what it is, you are paying what i would consider as far too much for a mattress on the floor. The atmosphere is just strange because it's in a school, it feels very eerie and because there's no social area there's no social atmosphere AT ALL at the hostel. There wasn't wifi available either
