This hostel is located right dead center of hastings street which is full of drug addicts. It was the scariest place my partner and I have ever been so we left early. The front desk staff urged us to remove everything from our car as they get brake in's there quite frequently. I would not recommend this place.

The hotel itself was really nice and clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly, goibg out of their way for us etc. however shame about the neighbourhood but it's not the hotels fault.

Dodgy location but we had no issues during our stay. If you keep your wits about you, you shouldn't have any issues either. Definitely recommended!

Weird location, but being right above the pub was nice. Having our own bathroom (with shower!) was a pleasant surprise. Parking was very reasonably priced, though I was concerned about the security of the lot. Fantastic value. I'll stay there on my next visit to Vancouver.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Patricia\'s for two nights. We felt safe and comfortable in our room (which was very clean) and the staff was kind and accommodating. My biggest trepidation about staying here was the location, which turned out not to be a problem, although I WOULD NOT have walked back to the hotel alone at night. With several bus routes stopping directly in front of the hotel the walk home was easily avoided. When we return to Vancouver we will stay here again!

With a bus stop almost in front of the hostel, downtown is 5 minutes away. In regard to the homeless in the neighborhood, they're just absolutely harmless people who made bad choices. The pub, honestly, A MUST! I made the mistake of going to another pub downtown, and although the game was beautiful, the (expensive) pub didn't have HALF the character and excitement of Patricia Pub, with its wonderful live music! BTW: on your way to Vancouver, grab your umbrella/raincoat...

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, both in the pub and at reception, and facilitated my requests. The rooms were small, but it\'s value for money at the end of the day, and I stayed for a week in a double for around 200 Canadian Dollars. Anyways, in Vancouver you are out all the time. WiFi is slow in the rooms, it\'s better in the lobby, where the environment is communal and retro w/old antique pieces. Drug users in the neighborhood, but they ignore you if you ignore them.

Good value for money. Interesting ensuite bathroom location - a former closet.

The rooms were just so large that we went by well (quite small, we\'re a couple in love), but the hotel was clean, well maintained and cheaper than the hostel we stayed at the night before. Also, the man at the counter was very friendly and extremely helpful. If you want to see Vancouver in a couple of days, ask him what to see, and you\'ll have loads of great memories!
