A great hotel for the price. About the only drawback is the location in an area with some rather sketchy characters around. Once you walk through the doors of the hotel that all changes though. I stayed in the cheapest room available and everything was clean. Desk staff were very helpful and even the cleaners were friendly. It is easy to get to the hotel by walking through Chinatown, thus avoiding East Hastings. Also easy to catch a bus along Hastings and get off near the hotel. I will be back.

Hastings is there, with ladies and stupeffacients and stuff, but we managed to walk through E Pender and everything was safe. That neighbor is nice. We walked through china town and there are some nice stores and places to drink a beer (which are not as expensive as downtown YVR) like London Pub and Brixton Cafe. Also, the desk clerk Van from Vietnam is a really nice guy! Make sure to have a word with him.
Noor is hands down the best concierge we have ever had. He is an amazing host and provides great history and detail about the city. The rooms were very clean and are basic, but amazing for the price. We reviewed a lot of hostels and hotels before choosing this one and we were a bit worried about the area, but we have absolutely no regrets. You’ll kick yourself if you don’t book it. It is within walking distance to pretty much everything. The pub attached has a micro-brewery and tasty food. BOOK!
