Nice hostel only about a 5 minute walk to downtown West End (from there only a 5-10 minute water taxi to West Bay). There is a very laid back atmosphere with friendly staff. It got a little hot at night as they only had a few fans, but overall it is a really great location for a really good price.
It was a nice hostel. The people were friendly and the amenities were nice. It wasn't that secure; however, at no point in roatan did we feel unsafe. It's a super quick walk to West end so the location was great. I also loved the hammocks on the roof, the books and games, and the fact that you could watch TV. When we were there it definitely had less of a party vibe and more of a relaxing vibe, which is not a bad thing. The internet connection was pretty good too.

Very nice hostel within walking distance (10 min) to all the restaurants and bars. Sophie (the owner) is such a nice, helpful and cool lady and makes you feel at home. The rooms are nice and comfortable (with lockers) and the bathrooms are clean. There is a common area with lots of books and DVDs. There is also a nice rooftop where you can chill. The kitchen is also nice and clean. If you want to stay at a cool hostel, with good vibe and a relaxed atmosphere in Roatan, I recumbent this place.
Buena onda hostel was fine, it served it's purpose as a place to sleep, and has the potential to be a much better hostel. When we arrived no one was at reception, we felt like everywhere could do with being spruced up. Kitchen facilities were good. Didnt like having to go outside to get to the bathroom, as it felt slightly unsafe at night as anyone could enter the hostel grounds.
