The hostel is close to the center of town and has a great atmosphere. I loved the lockers in the room and the breakfast. Please add directions to your description so that travelers understand how to arrive there from the bus station.
it would have been better if the pc worked
Some of the staff has reasonable or good English, the rest speak only Portuguese. Good location, good value for money.
Loved the location and feel of the hostel, the staff were really friendly too. I wish i could have stayed longer

The staff are welcoming and very helpful. The hostel is close to the centre but like any location in Ouro Preto, is a steep walk back.
Stayed for one night, got upgraded for free to a private room and were allowed to zuse showers and have breakfast the morning before we checked in. We stayed while a Brazil match was on and the helpful and friendly ownerbset up TVs and drinks in the garden to watch it. Loud if you were trying to sleep but a good atmosphere. Room was clean, breakfast was good. Would recommend.
All was really good. I wish the staff had more local knowledge of the area to go out and explore. Everything was great though! I would definitely recommend it and go back.

A good hostel, very nice and helpful staff - besides one person who welcomed us at our early check-in (6 am), we´ve announced it but yet he said we had to wait until 2pm to got our room - still other beds were free, but our tired faces did not convince him... all that to end up with our room not ready at 2pm! His lovely colleague let us enter another dorm and was super sociable, nice and helpful : let us do our laundry, indicated us good leisure spots. The breakfast was very good and diversified
Really great place to stay. The team are awesome and the accommodation is top notch

Really excellent hostel! Great location, super close to both bus station and town centre. Awesome friendly staff who are very happy to help with anything you need. Really comfortable beds, good bathroom facilities, good breakfast with fresh fruits and homemade cake. Thoroughly recommend.

Fantastic place to stay in Ouro Preto. The staff are really friendly and will help with anything. It is also clean and secure and only a couple of minutes walk away from the centre of town.
Buena Vista was quite good, however I was the only person staying in the hostel at the time. Perhaps it was the time of year, but every other hostel I have stayed at has had lots of people so Im not sure where everyone was. As a solo traveller it made my time in Ouro Preto a bit lonely, but the hostel itself is good and the staff are good. If there were more people it would be a great choice-.
The hostel is well situated and quiet. We had a nice stay here, despite being woken up by screaming kids at 7AM...
We stayed for two nights. Nice staff and reasonsbly clean room and environment. However we were placed in a room (which clearly used to make a part of the kitchen, frankly looking like a fully tiled prison cell) with a thin wooden door next to the adjoining kitchen and the social area, and could hear absolutely everything and vice versa. Luckily it wasn't too noisy at night otherwise, this is literally to crash and sleep in, not relax after long days exploring the town.
