I do appreciate that it was low season but the place was not clean. As the only low budget accom avaliable in Kazan it is a place to crash but that's it.

when i shut the lights, i was attacked all nite by mosquitoes. i had had 15 mosquito bites that nite and place is on 8th floor. place was unkempt and very far from town and hard to locate, price was good but i would not stay there again. people were nice and helpful but need to tidy up and fumigate the place, you cannot leave waterous food and liquid around or mosquitoes will breed in it.

Probably the best place to stay in Tatarstan.

Katie, who runs the hostel is very helpful & welcoming; she was the highlight. It was a bit out of the way, but a simple bus ride to the town center. Not especially clean, but not off-puting - more cluttered than dirty. Good internet access with 2 computers available. A good eat-in kitchen for making & eating meals. Mattresses were either thin (I like a firm bed so this was not a big problem) or inflatable. We had trouble finding other budget options in Kazan so this was OK if not ideal.

I liked the place, to be in a real flat. Ekaterina is really nice and friendly! The city center is not far by bus so the location, even if outside the center, is ok. The only bad point was the cleanliness in the kitchen...

Not really a hostel but more a homestay wich was cool. The hostess was very helpfull and was very conversational. But don't expect a top quality high end accomodation.
