Location couldn't be better--right close to town with a stunning view of the lake and mountains. Everything very clean and tidy. Downside is that the reception isn't open early/ late, which can be a both when returning keys to get your $20 security deposit back. Also, beds are a little creaky and the lockers charge $2 every time you open them.

Staff entered rooms at any time of day without knocking or telling us what they were doing. Little to no privacy and found it rude that staff would not even knock to enter. Walked in on one of my friends coming out of the shower and changing and never apologized.

Excellent, helpful staff - Fiona is wonderful!!! I was only there one night, but all my questions were answered, I was able to get what I needed, and I met a few choice people - thanks for a great stay!

Fiona and all of the staff at reception were always very helpful and more importantly - really nice! The rooms have great views. Being just a very short walk from the town centre but not in the town centre, gives this hostel a nice laid back atmosphere. Would recommend this place to everyone! Also if you book your activities through Bumbles you can receive heaps of discounts and free internet!

Not too much in the way of communal activities planned (nighttime mainly). However...it is Queenstown, there is plenty to do.
