Mr Bunkao was really sweet, he takes care of all his customers and helped us with the tuk-tuks and the bikes. I really enjoyed staying here!!!

Great hostel. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The only drawback is it lacked a little in atmosphere, but I would still recommend this hotel to most people.

I liked the Bun Kao guesthouse very much. The owner is one of the most friendly people I met and he supports some primary schools in the countryside close to Siem Reap. Every floor of the house has a balkony with a hammock to sit and relax. I stayed there for 4 nights and had a very good time.

Incredible service by Mr Bun Kao and Philip, along with everyone else. The place was very clean, in a great location, and was perfect for the solo backpacker. Hands down, it is the best hostel I've ever stayed at. I cannot recommend it enough.

Awesome staff. We didn't book their bus, but when another company came to get us they went out of their way to bag up breakfast for us to eat on the road even though we didn't ask them to! The place is a decent walk from pub street (15 minutes or so) but it's quiet and close to a bunch of delicious and cheap Cambodian barbecue restaurants. Also, the double beds are HUGE. Would definitely stay here again.

This place is great! The owner is just the nicest, most gentle person you'll ever meet, and he'll do anything for you. Beds don't wobble, there's aircon and fans, it's a good place to stay. Recommended!

The hostel was clean and nice and meets all your hostel needs. There isn't a particularly backpacker atmosphere. The location of the hostel is good. It's a little outside of centre, down an alley with all the other hostels. The main thing that stands out is the owner, Bun Kao. He is very friendly and helpful. He speaks English well, and is always smiling and super helpful. He is also the founder of a refugee charity for children and uses the proceeds from the hostel for this purpose!

The staff at Bun Tao are so helpful, they made me feel really at home I would recommend this place to my friends and family and everyone else! The breakfast is also delicious and the place has a lot of character.

The team at Bun Kao, were amazing. Very helpful and provided lots of information of places to go and things to do, they also made arrangements for various day trips. We booked for 3 nights ended up staying for 6! The twin room was spacious and clean. Would stay here again if ever in Siem Reap.

The owner of this hostel is an absolute gem. He not only helped us book our taxi to Poipet, but he also found us a driver after ours was a no-show. He was so sweet the entire time we were there and he definitely helped make our experience in Siem Reap amazing.

We spent five nights at this hotel, and ended up feeling a bit sorry to leave. The owner is a lovely person and makes you feel comfortable all the time. It's a short walk to city center (about 15 min) but the area is packed wih guesthouses and a few restaurants so you won't have to go downtown if you don't feel like it. Make sure to rent a bycicle, it's a great way to visit the Angkor park.

The location is fairly close to town (the market/pub street/etc.). About a 10 min.walk. Safe to walk at night as well . There are a few hostels/hotels very close by with little restaurants if you are too tired to go into town to eat. They provide breakfast (a lovely omelet, banana, and two toasted pieces of bread with tea/coffee). But what makes this place great is the owner. He is the nicest guy ever. Very kind! Goes out of his way to help you.

Great Guesthouse. The owner is a nice person and the staff is great, especially a guy named Makara. If you plan to visit the temple with a tuk tuk or motorbike go with him. He's a great guy and a really hard worker. In the early morning he teaches english and than he starts to work. He showed me lot of things in Siem Reap.

Wow! Great place, friendly people, and an awesome value. About 1.5km from the main strip, but it is easy to get to if you walk or rent a bike for $1/day. If you go to Siem Reap, I'd definitely recommend staying here.
