Cheapest hostel I've found! Between train station and downtown, really close to night market. Nothing bad to say about the place if not that not all the staff is fluent in English and committed to help. Little noisy when people move or come back at night. More than good and recommendable for the price!!

Love this hostel!!! You have to like animals as they are everywhere! (Only in common areas) Dogs (small ones/puppies) and chickens!! The owner is awesome... He lives in the hostel and will tell u about and take u to cool events/places. He often invites guests in groups out to dinner and he knows all the good places the locals go to in Chiang Mai. Extremely good value for money. The showers could have been better (only 1 was hot) but it would never put me off staying here!! Such a cool hostel!!

I only stayed 4 days in Bunchun but I would highly recommend it to any bagpacker in Chiang Mai who's here to explore the town and meet other travellers. Vee has been running the hostel for 2 years now and he's very helpeful and fun to be around. The facilities are fairly comfortable and I never felt unsafe as the door was always locked. The location is very convenient, only 5 mins away from the Night Bazaar and a 15 mins walk to get to the old city. The hostel is also very artsy and ha

Okay place to stay, met some nice people. The animals did give the place a bit of a dirty feel. Hard matresses. Aircon room was good value for money.

Pretty unique place with all the animals around. The showers left a lot to be desired. Only one with reasonable pressure but the heater was inadequate, I ended up having cold shower most of the time. CCTV installed so pretty safe. Early sleeper will have a hard time like I did as the floor on which the bunks were located shakes like crazy even with light footstep.

The toilets were bogged a lot, chickens and dogs in cages(let out like once a day), mattresses straight on the floor and the pillows were hard. Just a note on the aircon rooms -the aircon is only on from 10pm to 8am so if you want aircon during the day you need to pay 300baht extra. Easy to meet people but the common room is quite limited. I much prefer spicythai.

Its all you need really, staff are fantastic, atmosphere is lively. Could be a little cleaner and sheets would be nice, but for 100 baht, you cant argue! Im glad a stayed, but dont expect the hotel hilton, its a budget hostel :)

Had an awesome stay here, instantly meet new friends when i came to the hostel. The staff was also very helpful and friendly and one of them even took some guest to a local thai restaurant on the river and then out for some drinks. Will definitely come back here again!

Very poor service. This hostel only wants to take commission from you to allegedly fund keeping their pets. Staff were not helpful at all. Dirty bathroom. Electricity turned off during the night/early hours of the morning so everyone woke up sweating and gasping for air as it became incredibly hot and stuffy. Very difficult to charge any electrical appliance. You are better off looking elsewhere.

Owner Comment (Hide)
We are terribly sorry about the electricity cutting out but that was out of our control, the electricity went out for the entire neighbourhood. We do apologies that you felt that you didn’t get enough help from the staff during your stay. In the beginning of September we just hired new receptionists and they were still in training.

This place is great, stayed here when i first got to cm and came back a few weeks later and stayed at this place again. The staff are great, more than happy to set things up for you, they have tons of info for you to look at for activities and vee is always making recommendations. The space is super cute and they have the cutest animals running around. Only a min walk to the night market and about 15 to the old city. Nice location.

Good for a cheap option. Owner will try push over priced trips, I ignore him. Bus station is cheapest place to buy bus tickets! !! Hostel has 3 small dogs living in it...

Ridiculously cheap hostel in a great location if you're looking to go to the night market. Staff were helpful to a certain extent - though one did throw up in two of the bathrooms our first night - after which we were woken up to be asked about it like it was one of us that had made the mess. You get what you pay for, though - for the price it's good.

Had a great time here, so sociable and comfortable. They're really good for organising tours through and everyone meets in the common room downstairs. Great for solo travellers

LOVE IT HERE. Most welcoming and relaxing hostel we've stayed in in thailand. Would definitely come back just to stay here. Very social and Vee let's you know what's going on every night.
