Great hostel, had lots of fun here. The hostel has lots of character and really friendly/ helpful staff. Would definately recommend.

I have never been more disappointed in a staff member who is required to offer good customer service to clients. The daytime female receptionist was appalling. she was rude, aggressive and had a very short temper. I have already written a complaint letter to the Bungi Backpackers Hostel and written a very bad review on Trip Advisor. I am not allowed enough characters to complete my complaint so please see TA for the full story. Bungi Backpackers should be ashamed of themselves. They ruined ourNZ

Great location and facilities. However we were in a cabin in the garden so had to go outside to get to the bathroom. Also mice in the roof!

The only good thing I can say about it is that the staff were nice enough to refund us so that we could change hostels. Walls are paper thin. Facilities are barely functioning and filthy; the co-ed showers were filled with hair and bugs, with duck tape covering cracks in the shower, which would alternate between scalding and freezing. Kitchen is filthy, and cleaned in the morning instead of the evening when it closes, so everything has time to fester and attract flies. Would not recommend.

Well some might it call Character/Atmosphere when you see people playing bongos and wearing the same clothes for 3 straight days, but it was a bit too much backpacker-style for our liking (couple around 25 yrs). The facilies have come quite of age and the cleanliness could be better. On the bright sight the city is really close and its amongst the cheapest places in Queenstown I could find. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Not very nice not very bad, just average place to stay. The house is quite old and looks like it too, that's the main reason not liking it.

Really nice hostel with friendly stuff. Every evening free soap. Internet access cost 3€/24h.

Absolutely great backpacker hostel, the room I was in was a bit small for four people, but it has a really homely feel, from the complimentary soup and bread every night in the kitchen to the free use of the popcorn maker. The staff is incredibly nice as well.

The bathrooms were absolutely discuting, full of mold! The mattresses and mattress boards were very cheap and several times throughout the night the mattress fell through the boards and onto the floor. The overall hostel was dirty and old and not maintained at all.

Bungi Backpackers was the perfect location and had a beautiful view of the lake. It was easy to find which was helpful for travelers. The staff was very helpful and always had suggestions on things to do around town.

We loved Bunji. Only a couple of minutes walk into town. Great staff, relaxed friendly environment. We had a double room in a separate building outside, so it fairly quiet at night, which was nice. Highly recommended, loved this place.
