I had a room with bathroom, been a long while since either had been cleaned. was not good. Bed was horrible, every time u moved it made a noise, one very dim light bulb so in evening u couldnt see. Wat a mish trying to find a power point to charge up ph. Air con went all the time, Very noisy, plus u couldnt change temp. Staff, depends who u got, on arrival chick was in my face rude, but i did deal with others the next day that were beter All in all, over priced dirty noisy backpackers

I would recommend this hostel because it is fun, its location is good, and it has good value for money. They have the most retarded checkin checkout policy I have ever come across though while traveling and Ive traveled every continent. In general the staff is friendly and helpful but some have an attitude problem. Also the hostel gives you a false sense of security (which is worse than no security) because most of the "cameras" they have don't actually work. Also some showers have a lot of mold

The rooms are loud and you can hear everything from the hall.

I was in a single room next the the fire escape /lift access door which had a lot of human traffic which made it a little noisy from time to time. Next time I will ask for a room in a different location.

The Hostel was the worst I have ever stayed at. You couldn't sleep, beacuase of the noise from the bar down under. The music was ridicoulisly, each say till 2 am. One night a guy, who wasn't staying in the hostel, puked in our shower twice(you pay $5 more for ensuite!). The hostel staff didn't clean it properly for two days and said we should use the other showers...

Stay in bunk for 4 nights, staff are friendly and helpful. Room is clean and with private bathroom inside. The only thing is not really good is the kitchen is very hot. Willing to return if I travel to Brisbane again.

The location and staff were very good but the main downfall was the shower and toilet. The shower had mould growing on it and the toilet was filthy.

Staff were friendly, but never seemed to know what they were doing, so service was very slow and confusing. The hostel is dirty, cockroaches in the bathrooms. Stayed well away from the communal kitchen, gross!

A bit out the way from the transit centre, main shopping area and Southbank but the bar is pretty good and the free meals are decent enough! Didn't really like the dorm set up, i was staying in an 8 bed dorm but couldn't actually see anyone else from my bed because they were partitioned. This could be good if you're planning on staying for a while to work but felt really unsociable and wasn't great if you wanted to meet people.

I spent 3 nights in Bunk hostel. I am mostly satisfied with the price I paid and the location which is right next to all clubs and bars in Fortitude valley. I am happy with the bathroom, I stayed in a 4 beds dom with in suite. The room was somehow separated, therefore, I didn\'t feel too crowed. However, I have to say everything else were just average. They did have a locker, but you have to pay $3 each time when you use(open and lock) it. The sheets wasn\'t that clean. The staff was alright.

Location was cool, as it is not far from the city centre. Nice staff, clean rooms and a big kitchen equipped with all things you need.

I frequently stay at The Bunk to save money when I travel to Brisbane every 3 weeks. I will probably not continue to stay there as the noise from the nightclub next door is so loud that you cannot sleep. Furthermore, cleanliness is an issue and fellow young backpackers tend to be inconsiderate and make noise throughout the night and early hours.

Just felt it wasn't organized at all. Had to keep waiting for things and people. Just kept wasting my time.

After reading other people's reviews I thought this hostel would be amazing, but it wasn't. The pick up from the coach was appreciated a lot, One member of staff when checking in was rude. You can constantly hear the thud thud of the bar in all rooms. My room was opposite the bathrooms so I had permanent light flooding in. The rooms were not easy to manoeuvre round and I had some drink stolen from my bag! Also it's a good 20 mins walk to the city.

to start with, the prices are bloody expensive for what is provided. on a friday, for a 8 bed dorm, we paid almost 30$ each, to end up in a dorm with complete childish idiots. the guys at the reception are useless, if you promise something and make peoplle wait, do get it... last but not least, if you are on the wrong side of the uilding, you'll have loud music all night long...
