This site has not been updated in five years because that's when they closed their bar/stopped having live music. I'm annoyed because I booked this place under false pretenses. There is a lock for the room, but no place to lock things in the rooms. WIFI barely works in the rooms; you must go down to the restaurant (which is always smokey.) There was a rat in the room one night. We told the owner and she denied the possibility and said WE must have brought it with us. Nonsense. Do not stay here.

Very good location -just in the citadel. I woke up during the night because of some noice just near my ear. It was a mouse in my bag! A had some food in it so the mouse tried to get some of it.

nice yha hostel more heated towards groups. warm and inviting with friendly staff good food in restaurant. beds could be a little more comfortable. would recommend it

We came in low season and they upgraded us from a dorm room into a private room. Awesome.

We had book two beds in a dorm but, because it was the low season, the Burg Hostel staff offered us to stay in a real room with all the facilities. They were really kind to us. We would also recommend the food which is awesome and for a really good price. Definitely, I would recommend you to go to the Burg Hostel.

Too much smoking in eating area from non Hostel people

Really sweet guy on reception. This was an ok stay but it wasn't particularly atmospheric or exciting. Beds were comfy, and clean but we couldn't get any hot water out of the taps. But, just a comment: being stared at by the members of staff every time you walk past isn't the best way of making your guests feel comfortable. If it wasn't for the main guy checking us in we'd probably have gone elsewhere.

Very nice atmosphere and great location in the center of beautiful Sighisoara :)

The dorm was a bit cramped but not a big problem as there were only two of us. The attached restaurant was handy and good prices. Overall a good place to stay.

Great location and a really cool little hostel with lots of character. We had a private room for 2 people with en suite and it was more like staying in a guest house than a hostel. An old building and not the most luxurious facilities but everything worked well.

If you have read the comments and book, just don't expect the lady to be nice and helpful (it is true, she is not the friendliest) and you will have a nice stay. The dorm was exeptionally clean and there were plugs and a little eading light next to every bed. We didnt see or find a common area or kitchen though, but that was stated before. If you're just looking for a cheap and clean bed right next to all the sights, definitely a recommendation.
