The hostel is a little unusual as it has curtains separating the dorms / bathrooms etc rather than doors, although I still found it quiet enough to sleep. It's very well located close to Burlington center with all the bars and restaurants, and a stone's throw from Lake Champlain. The breakfast was a little disappointing given the price (you're left to your own devices with a waffle iron!) and as dorms go it was overall a little pricey. But fine for a relatively economical night or 2 in Burlingto

Hostel is located right in the centre of Burlington. Good security as they buzz you up, 24h access. Parking costs $8 at a nearby parking lot. Good facilities and good hostel but the atmosphere is more chilled than normal hostels. They have lights out at 10 and you can't make any noise. Good for sleeping, not as good if you want to hang out.

Staff were great and everything was nice and clean, but security was really low. You ring a doorbell to get buzzed in, which anyone could just come up and do, and once you're inside, there are no doors. All the rooms have curtains across the doorway. It also makes for a very loud sleeping environment, since you can hear everything that's going on. The kitchen isn't great, just a toaster and a microwave. But all that aside, the location is unbeatable and the staff were really cool.

It is a little expensive for what it is but otherwise it was great. I actually slept really well there and I am a light sleeper. I would definitely come back and recommend it to others.

Was great convenient location. Was in town for one night for a co-workers wedding and had an awake time!!!

Lovely hostel and staff, clean and private bathrooms/showers, comfy bed, good facilities- lamps lockers towels toiletries, lots of room and plugs. Breakfast could use improvement, maybe some bread, lockers are tricky

The curtain door to the rooms was the only thing i didn't like, the rest of the hostel is great!

Did not expect to be greeted by a dog or for the lights to be turned off between 9pm and 10pm, making us feel as if we have to go to bed. Also very low kitchen facilities. Some staff lovely, but others very miserable. Perfect place if you are a lone traveller and are looking to get away for a while, for peace, quiet and early nights, as it has a very relaxing atmosphere. (Just as we checked out we found a mousetrap under our bed)

Staff were very nice and helpful anytime I needed to ask a question. Clean, nice facilities. Ate a ton of waffles before leaving. Only thing to complain about is that I stood waiting for the shower to get hot for like 30min and eventually gave up. Staff weren't sure what the problem was, but otherwise would 100% go back again and recommend to others.

Vermont Hostel is inexpensive, clean, friendly, and accommodating to any questions you may have. By staying at the hostel instead of a local hotel, which can range anywhere from $120 to $300 per night, I was able to tour the sights, frequent a couple restaurants, and shop for items unique to Vermont. The location is the best feature of the hostel. It's only a block away from the waterfront and not far from City Hall Park and the town axis.
