Nice Hostel, we had a double-room, it is clean, top bathrooms on the floor, friendly stuff and good prices (for Reykjavik). Not far from the center. Good choice!

Definitely recommend this to people who drive. However, if you do not drive, it can be a pain having to walk approx 30 min at fast pace in the snow, or worse, caught in a terrible snow storm if you are unlucky. Convenient store and supermarkets are approximately 30 minutes away on fast pace.

Super comfortable place, very helpful and friendly staff, and the facilities are far above most hostels I've been to. It's a short walk into the downtown and not far from grocery stores or anything else you'd need. I'd stay here again for sure!

Hostel was overall a good place to stay in Iceland, and by far the cheapest of the options available in otherwise expensive country.. the environment in the bar was chilled, it was easy to wind down over a good beer but sleeping was sometimes difficult with late check-ins and the window that I found hard to sleep next to with traffic and loud cars driving past.

a short walk to the city centre, but making people pay for a duvet?! Are you serious?!

The hostel is very clean and not too much of a walk from the city centre. The rooms are warm with comfy beds and heaps of space. The common area is nicely decorated and incredibly cosy. Thoroughly recommended to stay here!

I would suggest an individual lamp in each bed in the dormitory rooms and to also make sure that people do not party loudly after 23 pm or so!!

very nice place, little bit outside the centre, but then Reykjavík isn´t that big either. Lots of concerts during Airwaves Festival. Nice, helpful staff. Very good atmosphere in the bar. kitchen might be a bit crowded during lunch and dinner, but so what? Never had to wait for bathroom or toilet. Would go there again.

Fantastic experience - wonderful hostel, great main room for socializing, the staff is incredible - Ricardo was particularly terrific. We were a party of 4 and got our own room all to ourselves, which was amazing. The bathrooms are spotless, large, and plentiful. All in all we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this hostel. Be aware that it is outside the main downtown "core" of Reykjavik - about a 15 min walk - but it's a pleasant walk and gives you a quieter stay in return.

A little while out of town but totally walkable in 15 mins and the staff, facilities, and atmosphere were absolutely excellent.

Very clean and well lit hostel. About 10-15 min walk to city center. Private shower and toilet for each bathroom, which was great.

Clean and quiet. Good common area. It was about a 20-minute walk from the main church, but that was okay since I'm a big walker.

This was an excellent hostel. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and it was great being able to be picked up right at the hostel for most of the tours. The place was also clean and well-maintained. I'd definitely recommend this hostel.

Close to reykjavik bus station where you get off from the airport bus. Generally a nice place. I didn't stay there long enough to have experienced much - but hostel was clean and the staff were nice.

Little bit out of the centre of town, but very close to the bus station for the airport bus - which is exactly what I wanted it for. Excellent that you could book rooms on a single occupancy basis. Toilet/shower rooms very clean and roomy. Great kitchen for preparing quick meals. Great to have such a big atmospheric common room, and with a bar. Would stay again.

Cool hostel. I stayed in a room for 16 people, but the room is split up so you don't feel cramped at all. The kitchen is nice and big, and the common room is cozy. Had a lovely time.

I had a great experience staying at the Bus Hostel. The staff were very friendly and always happy to help out. It was also very modestly priced, great value. I would definitely recommend it to anyone coming to visit Reykjavik!

I loved Bus Hostel Reykjavik. It was so clean and nice on the inside. The common area is great, with book sharing and a bar. It's not terribly close to the center of town, but that means that it's quiet at night, which is good if you have lots of activities planned for the day. Also, the free use of bikes was fantastic! You can explore so much more of the greater Reykjavik area without paying anything more. The wifi isn't free. Anyway, I'd definitely recommend Bus Hostel!
