I thought Bus Hostel was really great. The bathrooms were kept clean and for the most part the rooms were as well. Unfortunately one of the nights I was staying there they rented out the common room for a party that didn't include the guests of the hostel and kept the loud music banging until midnight. The Bus isn't actually in the city center and it takes about 15 minutes to walk downtown but the walk is nice. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend to my friends.

LOVED it. Super clean, really cool looking, beautiful inside, and surprisingly close to the city. It was nice to be slightly outside of Rejkyavik, to avoid all the noise at night, but it was only about a 15 minute walk away. Really loved this place.

I chose this hostel because it's close to the BSI Bus Station (a main transportation hub) as well as a competitive price. It’s not that far from the downtown core, another plus. I found staff quite friendly and helpful, and the complimentary breakfast (you pay for the coffee, but free refills) which is another plus. I would stay here again if my travels ever take me back to Reykjavik. They also have a car rental agency (SAD Cars) at the hostel, with good competitive prices.

This hostel has really nice rooms and a (very small) kitchen you can use and nice bathrooms. The location is also quite good, right by hallgrimskirkje. However, there was literally no staff around! No one to greet you and show you around when you check in or to ask how you were after a long, busy day. This doesn't seem like much but it made a massive difference.

The hostel was great and very friendly staff. We enjoyed the happy hour at the bar!

Not the best location - you're at least a 15 minute walk from the city center & you have to cross some major roads to get there. Security not ideal - extremely frustrating room key, had to lower my shoulder into the door to gain entry. Too few bathrooms on site, so be prepared to wait, especially if they're booked up. On the flipside, atmosphere is excellent - bar in the lounge downstairs. Rooms were spacious & clean. Staff was very helpful. A good, but not perfect choice for visiting Reykjavik.

The hostel structure is really good as a whole. The staff were really helpful and the location is really good. The only bad thing is the fact that you have to pay for a blanket or duvet, which is pretty pathetic... But apart from that is a good hostel.

The hostel is very clean!! which is great. and the common area is very nice, with a bar and lots of cosy furniture. One thing to be aware of is that they dont provide a towel or a bed sheet or duvet. so if you don't have a sleeping bag be prepared to pay an extra £5 for a duvet. The hostel is very near the bus station in Reykjavik which is convenient and the staff were very helpful. considering how expensive everything in Iceland is, the hostel is very good value for money

Only downside is that you had to pay extra for bedsheets and key to locker. Otherwise we were more than happy with our stay!

More effort has been put into the common room then dorms. Only a few power sockets in dorm, not even enough for one each. No lamps on dorm so main lights are being turned on during the night waking you up. Bathroom and kitchen great!

Best hostel ever! Spacious, clean rooms and beds. Toilets and Kitchen, well supplied and well maintained. Great common room and bar, with a rustic ambiance. Its slightly outside the city centre. But all is not lost, this location puts it right next to the Pearl (or Perlan),a beautiful landmark of Reykjavik with a revolving restaurant and great viewing deck with panoramic views of the city. There is also a great "off the beaten path" kind of thermal beach within walking distance.

Nice Hostel, we had a double-room, it is clean, top bathrooms on the floor, friendly stuff and good prices (for Reykjavik). Not far from the center. Good choice!

Definitely recommend this to people who drive. However, if you do not drive, it can be a pain having to walk approx 30 min at fast pace in the snow, or worse, caught in a terrible snow storm if you are unlucky. Convenient store and supermarkets are approximately 30 minutes away on fast pace.

Super comfortable place, very helpful and friendly staff, and the facilities are far above most hostels I've been to. It's a short walk into the downtown and not far from grocery stores or anything else you'd need. I'd stay here again for sure!
