Grate location with in walking distance to all the attractions, easy to find when walking from bus or train station. The staff are very friendly and helpfull, they will even show you some grate places to go for a beer and something to eat.The hostel has a homely feel and is a grate place to meet other travelers. Really enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend to any one heading to Edinburgh.

Great place for people looking for a quieter hostel. Kylie was incredibly laid back and since she lives there she is always around if you have any questions or need recommendations for food, activities, etc.

I love how homey everything felt, the place was clean and cozy and there was a very friendly atmosphere even among the backpackers! There was even a guitar in the living room for anyone to play. This is the best hostel I've ever been to.

Kylie was really great and you can't beat the freshly baked bread in the morning. The rooms are dark and cold so I spent most of my time in the common areas which was good for meeting people. Location is fine but it about a 10 minute way to get to things.

It is a very small and cozy hostel, we felt at home. Kyile was running the hostel by herself and she was always very nice to us and gave us a lot of information about the city. Breakfast was good and always with some fresh bread or cake. Toilets and rooms were very clean, but the bunk beads are a little bit uncomfortable as they shake too much. It is a 10 min walk from the old center.

It was a very pleasant stay. It really felt like home. And the homemade bread at breakfast - I'd never thought I would taste something like that in UK. And Kylie was really nice and helpful. Not very recommended for "party people" but if you're like me and you like more peaceful environment - definitely recommended. Rooms are simple, beds quite comfortable... There is a common room with big TV and many movies, kitchen, two nice bathrooms. Hope to be back someday.

Amazing little hostel... Secure lockers, staff member there always, clean as any hotel, power showers (wow), fresh baked bread every morning, was able to check in as soon as I arrived which was awesome... Kylie is really friendly

I highly recommend this hostel. I have stayed at many hostels across Europe and this is by far the best one I've seen. It is suitable for specific kind of people though - rather calm as this is not a place to throw big parties. The hostel is very small, has a great atmosphere, the lady who runs it is extremely friendly and helpful. Honestly, I have never experienced such a nice stay at a hostel.

I had a great time during my stay in the hostel, although I was very young (17) atmosphere was great in which I could get in touch with lots of people. Kylie she is great, she is so kind and friendly. If I'd go back I'd chose the same hostel again.

Even it is not in the city center, it's really quiet if you want to sleep, and if you'd rather go out, you can walk back. I had a wonderful time, atmosphere were great, bed were really comfortable and rooms were big enough for the people in there. It felt more like a family house than a hostel.

Really great hostel near the heart of the city - staff (Kylie) was very friendly, accommodating, easy-going and happy to give handy tips (like a couple of good, small folk music bars!) as well as all the decent 'touristy' things to do. Clean, comfortable and a chilled atmosphere, making it a great place to meet different people (and there was a variety of nationalities there!). Our only problem - we stayed in a 6 bedroom dorm and there was a horrific snorer!

Bus Station BP's is near the National Portrait Gallery. This is a nice part of town and a short walk back up to the center of things. I highly recommend Edinburgh and I highly recommend this hostel. Kylie was great and the stay here was great. Robert from Tennessee

Perfect stay. With the homemade bread for breakfast, the value for money was outstanding. The facilities are great and the living room is a cool place to hang out.

Very small, privately run hostel. Friendly and quiet. A nice place to meet people but also get some sleep. Bathrooms are kept nice and clean. Fresh bread every morning!

Second time I'm staying here and I sure hope it won't be the last time I'm staying here. Nice and cosy hostel. Although it is a small place, you'll meet a lot of people. This hostel feels like home.

It was pretty good overall, the bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner and there was no wifi in certain rooms
