Butterfly Villa Hostel Reviews

The Butterflies made my stay just perfect! Starting with an airport pick-up(for a reasonable fee), a very warm welcome, good breakfast. The girls at the reception are so friendly and helpful, almost impossible not to fall in love with them;-)))) Had a great day in the mountains too, Butterfly offers nice tours and Puiu is a great guide!!! Thumbs up!!!!!!

Although in the lowseason I had a great week. All 4 of the Butterfly girls are friendly and helpful, but the more experienced ones are a bit more social. Decent location, foodshop across the street, 10 minutes walk to the center. Nice (free) breakfast, great wifi all over the hostel. Highlight of the week was the Transsylvania daytrip organised by the hostel. Some showers need repairs, pillows and sheets need replacing, but overall I would definetely recommend this place. The directions to Butterfly Villa from the airport/Piata Romana are really bad. My friend and I ended up getting lost for an hour and a half. We finally gave up and took a taxi. For some reason, we also could not reach the front desk when we tried to call. Is the number you have posted on HostelWorld.com correct?

Butterfly Hostel is very lovely, authentic, sweet place really. Before the reservation I have hesitates but when I see the Hostel all of my hesitates become positive. Comfort and warm rooms are really very nice to sleep. Hostel is not at the centre of the Bucharest but you can walk to the centre of the city for 15 minutes. The kitchen is nice also and you can cook everything. The bathroom is nice and you can take hot shower whenever you want. And staff is very helpfull, friendly. Thank you...

I can't comment on what other people have said about it being too hot as I stayed in late October. While the rooms were a bit small and everything this was quite a nice place and I would stay again if I were in Bucharest. The free breakfast is nice and the staff are excellent, really willing to talk and explain things and helped to sort out a Transylvania day tour. There are a couple of common rooms which are good to hang out in, free wi-fi and free towels. Small bathroom repairs needed! :)

There was an innocent misunderstanding about the amount of available keys per dorm room (1). The movie posters in the TV-room make the atmosphere too juvenile, as do all phrases written in felt marker on the fridge in the kitchen. A water boiler would be a valuable addition. Also, more A new puddle in the bathroom floor and fully functioning sliding doors in the shower cabin would improve things instantly. Laundry service was nice, as were the eggs at breakfast.

very nice hostel, area appeared to be quite secure, not that well connected to public transportation (just by bus)..nice park and bars in the near...

Thanks to all "Butterfly girls", had a great time and really felt like "being home" in Eastern Europe. Good breakfast, nice location close to the beautiful park and city centre. Will defenitely stay here again next time!!!
