The staff rocks and it's right next to he beach which is great! The wifi is slow even though you have to pay for it :-( all the hammocks around are lovely for lounging. Wish there were bigger lockers in the dorms, you couldn't fit much in them and due to this everyone's stuff was everywhere. They didn't clean every day, meaning sand was all over the floor. The private rooms look awesome though; I'd book one of those next time.

A little bit out of town, but helps to maintain the relaxed atmosphere - and you are directly at the beach. Cats

I've travelled for over 9 months and stayed in a good few hostels, some have been poor, some average and some good. This hostel is by far one of my favourite :) it's just across from the beach and 10 mins walk to town or theres the shuttle bus back and from town. Most of the staff where very helpful, especially Charlie, very nice girl, always willing to help and always happy. I'd only been in the hostel 2 days and felt like I'd been here for ages, everyone was super friendly and chilled.

This hostel was great to stay at with lots of activities running throughout the week and a shuttle bus to take you into town. The location is okay, its close to a beach but is a 15-20 minute walk into town. It really suits the byron culture with Hammocks everywhere and the best hostel bbq I've been to

Great place to stay. Really happy with the facilities. Only down side is if someone is awake in the morning everyone is awake, as the walls are so thin.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice, decent sized clean rooms but the bed was too squeaky. Upstairs shower/ toilet requires updating to offer same standard as lower floor block, which were great. Piano should be locked shut from children before 9am, unless they can play it. Nice location next to the beach.

We arrived quite late, but that was not a problem as staff was still there and helped us with all the questions and suggestions what to do near the Byron Bay. They are offering for free to take the bikes which is cool. Room was ok, even for our 5 suitcases. It was getting loud during the Friday night but if that is not bothering you, the atmosphere there is nice and really hippy. Linens were clean, bathrooms could be cleaner, we used grill in the common area. Would go there again.

This hostel is so clean, the kitchen was lovely to cook in. Always tidy! The rooms are spacious.. The bunk beds are a little annoying as they are so low but overall very good.. Byron beach resort is a very chilled hostel, not very lively but that suits some people. Little bit out the way of the town but free shuttle is very good just a bit of a walk if your our at night. Located pretty much on the beach and that is one of the many great that's!

Cozy and nice hostel with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Nice walk on the beach to reach the town but there's also a great shuttle service to and from the centre. I really enjoyed my time over there!!!

Loved the location. Right across the the from the beach and only 15mins walk to town. Restaurant on one side and a bar on the other (although slightly pricey) Decent room, heater and ceiling fan included. Bunk bed was a little low though, I was on the bottom and couldn't sit up fully. Free wifi is 256kbps.....you have to pay I you want faster internet. Good large kitchen and communal areas. Lots of activities arranged.

Had a good time here! Although some of the staff were totally awesome and some were exceptionally unfriendly. Great location, short walk from downtown and right across the street from the beach! Best hostel BBQ I've ever had. Overall I would recommend it!

We thought reception staff were fantastic and very helpful, but would have appreciated more lively social activities based in the hostel in the evenings. Luckily there is a great pizzeria next door with great live music most nights. We thought this was a chilled out and well run hostel right on the beach but not for those looking to enjoy the nights as the hostel I common area itself is quiet by evening and town is a fair walk along the beach, especially for a couple of girls when it's dark!

Really clean kitchen and rooms. The beach is right onthe door step and you can take a beautiful walk along the coast line. The atmosphere in the hostel is very relaxed and friendly and you can use bbq's and enjoy the outside picnic tables and hammocks. The coutesy bus was brilliant. I would stay again and recommend to all.

This hostel was great! The staff were super helpful and friendly and there was something going on every day. Great location close to the beach, and while it's a little walk into town, there were shuttles running nearly hourly. Met some great people here too!

the room was pretty cold, the heater is definitly not sized for that size of room (pretty big), internet is too expensive (10aud for a 24h pass), but the location is nice if you like it quiet and close to the beach, big rooms

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hostel, booked in for a week and extended my stay to two weeks. Location is 30 seconds from the beautiful beach and 20 minute stroll along the beach to the town centre. Staff are friendly and helpful, atmosphere is great, and plenty of activities to meet fellow travellers. The Treehouse cafe next door has a chilled vibe with great food and live music 4 nights of the week. Highly recommended.

Awsome place to stay, staff very friendly and helpful and the general vibe of the place is very chilled out. Perfect place for backpackers or family lookibg for a little get away without being isolated. However it is advised to bring an extra blanket or a sleeping bag as the blankets there are a little thin. Other than that, best place to stay
