The room we had was a double. The private washroom was spacious and clean. Really liked how the room came with two of each: Wine glasses, mugs and drinking glasses. Nice walk along the beach to the city... Which was a great added point,. Got you to get out and take that nice walk in the mornings and evenings. Really enjoyed our stay!!!

Can't fault this place, I had a genuinely lovely three days in Byron. The room was a lovely surprise being much bigger and brighter than expected. Easily my favourite hostel across Australia so far.

The staff were not overly friendly and there could be more activities put on in the evenings to encourage people to socialise. However, the hostel is just across from beautiful beach and there is really nice cafe next door. The grounds are nice with hammocks, benches etc.

Overall good hostel to stay at! Location was far away from the city centre though, to walk about 20/30 minutes, since the transfer didnt go often enough I either had to wait for a while or walk.. in which case I walked mostly. In addition, the transfers in the morning didnt go often enough, I was supposed to catch the 7:25 to be on time for my greyhound, but when I arrived I missed the transfer since it had already left and the next one was at 9.. so I had to call a cab (since it was raining!)

The rooms are nothing special and could do with lockers to put your stuff in, but the communal areas were nice and the beach across the road out the front was gorgeous and quiet. Some nice people staying there as well, also liked the yoga classes. You need the pickup from the greyhound as it's quite far - easy to walk back along the beach without your backpack though.

Would recommend to friends- good cheap dorms- not too crowded and set on nice grounds and just a walk down the beach from the town, would stay again :)

Lovely place with a good and clean kitchen and really nice common areas. There is also a calm beach right next to the bbr. Free shuttle to city was really handy.

Really nice room, only problem was that two rooms were using the one bathroom which caused a bit of a queue in the morning. The hostel is a long way out of town - a good 20mins walk. Although there is a free bus service into the town, its not that frequent - only matching up to the arriving and departing bus times. Apart from the distance the location is great - right next to the beach and also has a lovely cafe bistro next door!

A great hostel I could have stayed for much longer realy chilled and social right by the beach. I cant wait to go back The only negative is you have to pay for Wi Fi that is really unnecessarry

Definitely a really good hostel with great stuff and a lovely relaxd atmosphere. The beach is situated just a cross the street, if you have to go to the supermarket or the shopping street you can take one of the free bikes or the courtesy bus running every hour. We enjoyed our time here a lot and would have stayed longer if we would have had more time as we didn't felt the way you normally feel in a hostel.

The best hostel i've stayed in. Staff were very very nice, they cleaned the rooms and bathrooms daily, facilities were excellent, so relaxing and beautiful, big kitchen with everything you need. Location was also excellent, Just by the beach were you can walk long miles, a little bit away from the town though. But just a 20 minute walk on the beach and you're there. Atmosphere, very nice people stayed there, almost all ages also. Only negative is that the floors are hardwood, so much sand in bed

Great atmosphere and excellent hostel overall. Location outside of town can be a plus if you value a more chilled ambience and a less crowded beach, but inconvenient if you plan to be going into town (though the regular free shuttle helps). When I checked in I was informed that I would have to change room during my stay (only 3 nights), which meant I had to check out and wait a few hours before being able to check in to the new room - several others had the same experience. Not good.

The kitchen was large, the beds and rooms were clean and comfy. Morning Yoga was a treat and the beach was a 1 minute walk. The dining area was large and despite being next door to a bar it didn't seem loud. Would definitely stay here again.

This is an extremely organised and well run hostel. The staff are super friendly and helpful despite being really busy. The bus into town is great but why would you want to leave the beautiful beach?

Lovely hostel. Large female dorm. It's nice being out of town until you want to stay late at bars, then it's a hassle to get back. Loved how large the kitchen is. Housekeeping could have been more thorough; felt that the shower stall was not cleaned at all. Front desk staff were helpful.

If you want to go out in the night you have to take a cab! But it's a great hostel!
