the room was pretty cold, the heater is definitly not sized for that size of room (pretty big), internet is too expensive (10aud for a 24h pass), but the location is nice if you like it quiet and close to the beach, big rooms
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hostel, booked in for a week and extended my stay to two weeks. Location is 30 seconds from the beautiful beach and 20 minute stroll along the beach to the town centre. Staff are friendly and helpful, atmosphere is great, and plenty of activities to meet fellow travellers. The Treehouse cafe next door has a chilled vibe with great food and live music 4 nights of the week. Highly recommended.
Nice place. Didn't really like the staff though.. But great beach right across the road and a nice atmosphere!
I had a great time at the BBR, which had just the right mix of organisation and that laid back relaxed Aussie surf vibe. Everyone that was there agreed it was a great place. The only complaint was that they charged for internet usage, which I felt was a bit steep.

Really nice chilled out hostel! Awesome location - so near to the beach. It's not located very centrally, but you've got the free shuttles every hour or so. Nice, basic rooms, nice lounge and outside area! Staff is also very friendly. Keep up the good work guys!
A very good hostel, awasome environment in nature, lots of amacas and cozy places to chill out and relax, wonderful atmosphere. Relax, easy to meet nice people but not a party hostel (luckily!). Only weakness point, is quite far from the centre, but if you're not so lazy you can reach it with an half hour walking!
Very impressed by this hostel! Location was perfect for the beach - only a stones throw away, and Byron Bay town centre is a 20min walk away. Beds are reasonably comfortable and the lockers are adequate
A bit out of town, but luckly there is a shuttle bus or a short stroll at the beach, which is just across the street.
Wow... What a location! A stones throw away from the beach, and a nice little 20minute walk to Byron Bay town centre. The rooms were pretty basic but quirky, and the rest of the complex was nice. The hammocks outside the room were a nice touch and gave you an awesome chilled out place to skype your friends and family. Very well priced!

I really liked this backpackers! It's 20 min by foot from Byron Bay CBD, but that also means that the beach is not to crowded there. However there are a few shuttles going to town. The building and garden look very pretty, you can perfectly relax here. The only thing that is bit annoying is that you have to leave the kitchen and common room at 10pm and the barbecue area at 11pm, but that's beacause there are also families. So you can just go to beach or byron bay.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. They really care about their guest's experience. The atmosphere was very relaxing. I like that it's a little bit removed from the center of Byron, yet still a short walk to get there via the beach. Lovely. Overall a great place to stay!
We really enjoyed staying here, met some lovely people. It's slightly out the way but it's. Nice walk along the beach in the day. Some of the staff not too friendly, can't fault them all though. Big kitchen area but can be a lot of people there at once. All in all it was a nice place and we did enjoy our stay.
It was one of the best hostels I've ever been in. Congrats to staff team, good job, good cleaness and keeping doing this way. I'll suggest this place to other friends. Thank you so much!

A huge shoutout to the staff. You guys were awefully nice and helpful. Especially Jen, but that goes for everyone on staff! Travelers should be aware that hostel is far away from downtown (30mn walk easy) but there are free shuttles running every hour or so. Only trouble: they stop at 9pm... not convenient for nights out partying, or even diner in town! However, it also means that the BEAUTIFUL beach just in front of the hotel is never crowded...
The room we had was a double. The private washroom was spacious and clean. Really liked how the room came with two of each: Wine glasses, mugs and drinking glasses. Nice walk along the beach to the city... Which was a great added point,. Got you to get out and take that nice walk in the mornings and evenings. Really enjoyed our stay!!!
Can't fault this place, I had a genuinely lovely three days in Byron. The room was a lovely surprise being much bigger and brighter than expected. Easily my favourite hostel across Australia so far.
The staff were not overly friendly and there could be more activities put on in the evenings to encourage people to socialise. However, the hostel is just across from beautiful beach and there is really nice cafe next door. The grounds are nice with hammocks, benches etc.
Great place!! Both their dorms and twin-bed rooms were cleaned and roomy. Staff were friendly whenever you asked them about things. Barely a 5 min walk to beach and about a 20 min walk to the town if you would want to party, shop or just eat or buy groceries. They also provided with a free shuttle bus from the hostel to the town and back. I would definitely stay there again!
