A very nice hostel, very clean with good community areas (bbq area, tv area with a few good Austar channels), excellent kitchen with enough pans etc, only downside is that it is a little bit outside (15-25 min walk to the city depending on the tide), but they run a shuttle service almost hourly

One of the best hostels we've stayed in! The hostel has a good location right by a small beach and the atmosphere is very chilled out and relaxed. The staff was really helpful, the rooms were nice and there are hammocks which is a huge plus. Only negative thing to say about this hostel is the kitchen, which wasn't always tidy and lacked knives, cutting boards etc. Other than that it was a great place to stay.

Very nice Hostel. Kinda far away from the City but there´s a free shuttle bus ten times a day. Only 50 meters to the beach! Nice BBQ area and clean, comfortable rooms. We really enjoyed our stay!

Really liked this hostel, had a very relaxed feeling (perhaps also because of Byron Bay itself). Only 2 minutes to the beach (Belongil, not the main one though you can easily walk there, too). They have a free shuttle service into town. Kitchen was big, common room comfortable. Security a bit too good - was hard to open our door! There are some lockers in front of the rooms but not many and none in the rooms. Wifi expensive. Will stay there again if I return to Byron! (And try out the Broga ;)

Very nice and clean. Friendly staff, Cool with the short walk to a nice little beach. A little distance from the center but well manageable with shuttle bus and a free 2hour bike hire a day.

Charismatic hostel with great staff! I stayed in a deluxe female only dorm, which was spacious enough with a lounge area and an ensuite bathroom, even though the communal ones were really clean as well! The room got pretty hot during the day and the fans in the room didn't really cool it down. Clean as a hostel can get, and the loudest party people stay closer to the main beach so you are likely to get okay sleep. Even though far away from the centre, the free shuttle goes there often enough.

Best hostel I have stayed in on my current trip. Highly recommend. Amazing layout, great atmosphere. Only down side was the WiFi charge, the very squeaky metal beds and their tour agent didn't offer clear, nor impartial info on trips and tours. This is a pretty common experience in Australia however.

Hey! I quite enjoyed my stay in Byron Beach Resort, but there are still some points to improve: The door to my room - I think it was the room 30 - didn't work, you guys need to fix that! The location is really far away from the shops, It takes at least 20-30 minutes to get to Woolworth's, but the shuttlebus service was quite good! The hostel quite near to the beach, but sadly still not any near to the main beach. The room was really clean.

Nice hostel near the beach. Free shuttle from the hostel to the bus terminal / city center. Kitchen well equiped and clean, dorms ok, quiet at night. Would recommend the hostel, the staff is great.

I loved that the hostel was right across the road from the beach. It's quite far to walk back to after a night in town though. Hostel was pretty nice and relaxing. Staff were friend;y enough.

Staff were lovely! Would have been nice to have a locker in our room. The ensuite bathroom wasn't cleaned at all during our stay and needed it. Besides that, great place. Would come back again!

20 minute walk into town, shuttle bus into town but not very regular. Kitchen is messy, ridicilous that you have to pay $10 deposit for one knife, fork, spoon, cup, plate and bowl. Rooms are nice and spacious and nice outside seating area. More suitable for couples and older travellers, not a single female 21 year old. Quite difficult to make friends.

No free Wi-Fi and no lockers, these small things make a big difference. Good cooking facilities, clean rooms and helpful staff though.

The pick up policy from the bus stop is a bit poor..u have to understand to walk behind the next house's parking lot with out any hint of this to catch the bus. And if you ask about the policy from the reception the answer is why are u so f**king dum.. The ape who was driving the bus doesn't help with bags or anything.. but the female driver is very nice and helpful. Location is poor if u wanna party, u have to get a taxi back since the last shuttle leaves 9 pm. Rooms were cousy and BBQ are nice

very average hostel, nothing too good to say. its about a 30min walk to the town but is directly opposite the beach which saves the location a bit. room was very dirty, floor felt like it hadn't been swept in a few weeks. we were in a six bed dorm but had to share our bathroom with one toilet and one shower with the 6 bed dorm nextdoor! also, in the 3 days we were there the bathroom wasn't cleaned once which was evident by the amount of ants roaming around! staff are nice and helpful!

Really enjoyed my stay at Blue Parot and would have exteded my stay if I could. Small hostel so you get to know people well. Particularly impressed with the staff's warm welcome on my arrival and the free wifi. TV room was comfy and hostel was kept very clean. Only complaint - there's just 3 showers apart from ensuite rooms and toilets are in with showsrs so sometimes you have to queue.
