Very basic but exactly what I expected for what I paid, plesant staff and an excellent location, so close to the centre and everything I wanted and the metro. The only problem was the ridiculous key situation- it didn't work very easily, so spent several minutes turning the lock outside! Would stay there again though.

Really good place to stay when you travel in Madrid, really close to the most popular street Gran Via and easy to go from the AirPort. You can find everything in the street to eat. The staff is Very Nice and helpful even if they do not speak english. Really polite and funny. We had a really good Time. I strongly recommend it.

I used a steam iron they have. It was too hot and my favorite cloth was burn out. They should have put a intruction manual. The sheets were not clean enough. People smoke in common room and the smoke came to everywhere in the hostel. I got a single room for €12, which was great. The staff do your landury for free!!! ( it was not dry enough, tho) the staffs don't speak English. Overall, they have to improve a lot of parts.

a nice and simple hostel which is absolutley perfect for people who need a place to stay but spend most of the time outside. Perfectly clean and the beds are comfortable and the wifi also works perfectly. The value for the money is above the ordinary!

Wonderful staff and location. Double room itself is very small and aesthetically displeasing. Bathroom is clean. No common room so it is difficult to meet other travelers. Atmosphere isn't the best, but the location is so good you won't spend any time inside anyway.

Cozy hostel with great character. Some street noise at night, but the amazing location makes up for it! Staff were so friendly and helpful.

We came to the Alistana GH for one week. The location is excellent, its clean, safe, and the staff is very friendly. The beds are comfortable, bathroom is ok. I liked the building in which Alistana GH is located, old, but renovated tenement house. 3 minutes to Puerta del Sol, 10 minutes to Plaza Mayor. There is Carrefour Express 20m from Alistana, and of course many pubs (if You want to eat, take beer in El Tigre del Norte, they will give you a lot of Tapas!). I strongly reccomend staying there!

Decent hostel to stay in. No elevator, thus have to carry luggage a flight of stairs to reach the place. Overall a good place to stay in!

The location was really great and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The only problem was that you could hear all of the noise from the street through the windows which made it somewhat difficult to sleep.
