Greeted upon arrival by a helpful member of staff. Excellent location not too close to the centre but within short walking distance to the hot spots. A great b

Good location but very basic facilities. Room was comfy enough but very basic. I am gluten-free and so could not eat the complimentary breakfast. I asked for a bowl and spoon to eat my own cereal and had to borrow the poor staff member's mug for the time I was there! No access to fridge or even basic kitchen facilities.

the location is good, very close to a major plaza. We were organized into a separated room which is outside the hostel. we didn't receive any room service except delivery of breakfast. the reception staff is nice, but still we have to pay before we check in. and the facility in the room is very poor, only beds and chairs, not even a desk.

Room was spacious, enjoyed the breakfast. Good location close to the attractions but difficult to get to from the train station.

Everything was very good. Had a problem with the shower (sometimes the temperature dropped), but nothing too bad.

It was a great stay in Ca' Contarini! We were a group of 8 people separated in 4 double rooms, and the stay was very nice. The rooms inside the main building are a bit nicer in my opinion. Indeed the hostel is located in an old venetian house which is very beautiful! The owner of the hotel is a very nice guy he will always help if you ask him! Overall the stay was GREAT! The only bad point was the breakfast which is very limited with no "fresh" products. Hope you'll change it for next time ;)

Wifi wasn't working in room, but host was very accommodating in other ways. We appreciate the thoughtfulness.

Our stay was wonderfully relaxing on a hectic tour of Europe to take in the sites, culture and cuisine. Noor, the attendant at the hostel was friendly, helpful and very funny. We greatly appreciated our stay at this charming hostel and will gladly stay here again. In fact some of us have plans to return in the fall.

The staff is very friendly and helpful here, and the breakfast is great! Location-wise, it's close to a vaporetto stop.

Fantastic location near cafes and restaurants as well as the accademia bridge which is very pretty. rooms spacious and nice though two single beds pushed together so gap did form which can be a pain. breakfast very basic and very early (ends 830am) but right near shops selling pastrys. good security and useful ownew with good info. fridge in room and quiet area. toilet clean but did start to smell by second day so ensuites may be better. overall we did enjoy it and good value for money.

The room was very cute and comfortable. Noor was very kind and helpful! We had to keep our suitcases downstairs because the climb to our room was several flights up a narrow staircase and with four of us in one room there was no space for suitcases.

Good location. Just a few blocks to catch boat transportation to anywhere in Venice. Definitely take boat 2 when you arrive. We did the mistake of taking boat 1 to get the long tour but then had to lug our luggage over the ramp (which is all steps). Only flaw I would say about this location was the shower, the water would leak outside the shower all over the restroom floor. The rooms are also a bit cold (even when it was warm out).

Nice hostel! Clean room (ensuiteproblemand clean linen and towels, good breakfast (croissant, crackers, bread, yogurt, juice, cheese, butter, jam and some nutella-like product). WiFi was only available at the reception, which was 20m from our room (different buildings), but I think that this isn't a problem as the reception is open 24h. The only negative remark is that I had to call to someone to check in as requested on a note left on the reception door. That does not happen all the time.

Overall it was a very nice place for a good price and would recommend it to a friend. We had a difficult time finding the place, but after rereading the directions several times we found it. Very close to the big attractions which made it easy to come and go from the room. The wifi did not work in our room, but that wasn't a major concern for us.
